Great purchase! Couldn't have wished for better value for money!

I've got a Canon 7D camera and had a couple of lenses which I thought would be adequate. They are 17 - 85mm and 100 - 400mm. One of the subjects that I like to photograph, is steam engines and the 17 - 85mm lens doesn't quite get everything in to my satisfaction, so I had a look for an ultra-wide angle lens. This one, the 10 - 22mm is an absolute godsend. From the back of a platform, standing square on to the carriage, I can get everything in the picture. So that gives you some idea of the width range of the lens. Another thing about the ultra-wide lens is the depth of field that it gives you. I couldn't have asked for a better result and for so small amount of money. New from the shop it would have cost £990! From ebay, £505.90 + £95 duty.Lire l'avis complet...

Must have for Canon-ist!

If you own a crop-size Canon and are serious about photography - you really need to have this one! It opens up a whole new perspective to your photos. It is sharp and fast. OK. It is not cheap. It more expensive that alternative independents from Tamron, Sigma or Tokina. But considering that using this one in conjuction with Canon DPP software it will allow automatic correction of abberations (that all lenses in this range have), it should be the first choice. I love it. I had one before; sold it to finance purchase of EF-S 15-85 (anopther briliant general purpose) for my 7D; and re-purchased once recuperated finances. Excellent relation quality/price.
Pictures with excellent quality, according to my expectations.
Normal weght for such a good wide-angle lens.
Concerning the size, it's easy to carry.

Wide angle lens

Gives the wide angle shots i wanted but with out too much distortion, have used a fish eye but did not much like the effect, this however is great. When used close up on a subject it brings it in really close and throws the back ground out.Awesome lens glad i took the plungeLire l'avis complet...

A great lens for wildlife and more

the photo's taken with this lens are are brilliant,a really good buy,i saw this lens in a local camera shop,tried it out and as i
was so pleased with it and its operation i purchased it.

Excellent lens

Good lens - very sharp, produces great images. More pricey than Tamron and Sigma but still good value for non L lens.

Canon 10-22mm lens

Excellent lens, fantastic clarity and build. You cannot go wrong with this ultra wide lens. Diminishes the need for a fisheye lens

I am sure there are better lenses, but this is a wonderful combination of size, weight, F stop and wide angle

Excelente objetivo ultra gran angular.

Objetivo excelente con una grandísima nitidez. El enfoque es muy rápido y preciso. La contención de la distorsión está muy bien conseguida, hasta en 10mm.
