I received this lens earlier than expected which is good. Lens appeared to be in good shape. I am using this lens on my Sony A6400 with a & Artisans EF to E adapter. When I am turning on the camera it took a few second for the lens to get focus. I guess it's to be expected due to the age of the lens. I also noticed that the F aperture sometime would let me go to F3.5, but for the most part it stays at F4.5. I am using the same adapter on other Canon lens without any issues. Nice Lens - I'd say middle of the line for Canon - but GREAT for the $$

Great lens for taking out in the elements - on the crop cameras, it's a mini Telephoto, and nice for portraits....

I use it on both my 6D and 20D and it useful for sure... photo quality is as good as any of my other lenses (non L) - but I use my 28-135 more, but it's 3x the price too...

I usually actually don't even use zooms that often in my daily work... primes are soo much better for me... the sharpness is just killer, and no zoom can match the speed of a prime lens..

but all in all, a nice little lensLire l'avis complet...

Great lens for beginners

I've taken a few test photos with this lens and it seems better than the kit lens that came with my camera. The autofocus seems to work better than a brand new 18-55mm kit lens. It's old, the auto focus is noisy, it doesn't have a great zoom range, but I have a feeling this is going to be my primary walk around lens until I can afford something a little more expensive. A solid kit lens that performs beyond its price.

As far as kit lenses go, this lens came just before the plastic 18-55 and remains not only one of the most versatile but also the most well-built canon kit lens I've used. The autofocus is the only thing that leaves something to be desired, but for the price it remains very useable.
The lens covers the main focal lengths of film, and is sharp throughout, especially when stopped down. There is little to no distortion, but some CA in the corners. The focus and zoom wheels are a bit plasticky and not as smooth as older glass or higher end lenses, but at this price range I doubt you could complain.
This is not a stunning lens, but what it boils down to is that this lens is one of the most versatile lenses for its price.Lire l'avis complet...

it said that it was only 70-75%. I find it better than that.

When I looked at the description it said it was 70-75% . I got the lens and I do believe it is better than that, Manuel focus is a little rough but doable. I have no bad comments on this purchase.

Canon 35-70mm Macro Lens

At first I was skeptical, the lens is extremely light. I mounted the lens on an Canon FTb loaded with Kodak Gold 400 print film. The sharpness of the images throughout the range was exceptional. For outdoor work it is a great addition to the camera bag. The macro function was good though I prefer the Canon 70-210 lens with macro.

The only misgiving I have about this lens are the plastic threads for mounting a filter. They do not have the same holding power of a metal to metal connection and I had difficulty mounting a polarizing filter.

Great extra lens

This is a great extra lens for a film format at the good price. The Macro is the best part about it.It's a Canon lens which helps keeps its value.

Need a Great Travel Lens?

This is a great lens to travel with you. It less sturdier than the older FD model of lenses that Canon released but it is less weight also. A great addition to your hiking kit or long walks. I've been very happy with it so far because the range is great at a decent aperture.
