It's good but not perfect!

Coming from the PMW 200 from Sony and after reading many reviews I had high expectations. I do think it's a great camera. Picture quality is good and comparable to the sharpness of the PMW 200 or EX1. I use it with a 18-135 zoomlens (USM and STM versions) and a servo zoom adapter. And then autofocus, zoom and steadyshot are all not as good as the PMW200 or EX1. So for run and gun the sony is a better choice. It is still ok for run and gun though, just not perfect like the Sony. Dual Pixel is VERY overrated, it doesn't do miracles. Most consumer camera's have had autofocus for 30 years now working as good or better than Dual Pixel. I do not like the fact that dual pixel on the 80d has face recognition and not so on the C100. I think with the recent price drop it's a really good value and you can make professional video's with it.Lire l'avis complet...

Filmmakers on a budget

I love the quality of the image the Cannon C100 offers even though this model is about 6 to 7 years old I believe it still to be a relevant camera even at 1080p. I bought a couple of Panasonic Gh4s a few years back to shoot a feature film, but now comparing the two cameras I prefer using the Cannon C100 over the Gh4's. The image quality I had gotten from The panasonic Gh4's testing them out wasn't that pleasing when taking outdoor shots because the image wasn't that sharp and clear as it should have been coming from a 4k camera. With the Cannon C100 even the shallow depth of field is easier to capture than the Gh4. 1080p is still relevant for those on a budget. I've seen on on web searches that 1080p is still being used in film festivals. In theatres 1080p is upscaled to 2k according to my other web searches. A complete package

It meets all my needs as a small film maker and wedding videographer. The 4k sensor downsizes to 1080p meaning that you get great quality in a great output for online. The built in XLR audio also beats out any DSLR set up that you would use for 3.5mm audio.Lire l'avis complet...

Inexpensive workhorse. Punches above it's weight class.

C100 may be the best camera for the one-man-crew

You won't be disappointed

Awesome camera for what I need. No 4K but the 1080p image is beautiful. Definitely recommend for run and gun filmmakers.

Just What the Videographer ordered!

This camera lives up to everything I have expected.

The Sensor in low light is incredible. No real noise until 20,000 ISO. Image control is great. A lot of flexibility. I use it with a NINJA2, so I can get that 10 bit color depth.

The sound, with a shotgun mic, is useable. For run and gun shooting you cannot beat it.

The button layout is the only thing I struggle with a little. Not terrible, but not the best design. The MkII design has some real improvements. But for the money, I can't beat what I got!Lire l'avis complet...
