It's really wonderful to see the characters again after a time span of 6 years - and to have the themes of female midlife gravitas so well honored. The actors are further down the road in their characters' lives, and the stories go on! Each film has a special feature interview - really well done, and very interesting!

All in all, a fabulous value for money - HIGHLY recommend!

I expect all be rewatching both the entire series and the Menopausal Years films every few years for the rest of my life - great stories, all well told.Lire l'avis complet...

Love this series but never knew of the 4 movies. I binge watched all 4 and loved them. Wish there were more.

Great box set for Cagney & Lacey fans

During its six year run on CBS, Tyne Daly won four Best Actress EMMY Awards as Best Dramamtic Actress and Sharon Gless won the award two years in a row. Thats an amazing and well-deserved feat! These four TV movies were made over a two-year period several years after the series had ended its run. They have the same feel as the outstanding TV series. The TV show was always more about the lives of its characters. Sure, there was always a crime to be solved, but the real strength was in the relationship between the two lead actresses and these four TV movies prove that the chemestry between Daly and Gless is still as stronga s ever. Each DVD contains a different 20-minute interview with one member of the cast or crew (Daly, Gless, producer Barney Rosenweitz and co-creator Barbara Corday) an each interview is honest, straightforward, entertaining and illuminating. I hope that the release of these four films will lead to the release on DVD of the entire series.Lire l'avis complet...
