One of the best I've played

Seriously an underrated game, by the always dependable Double Fine production house. Sure, the fighting controls are a little clunky, but the story, the design, and the just sheer fun of the game more than make up for this. I'm not really a Jack Black fan, but he is perfect for this part and the addition of actual metal stars in the voice cast really boosts this game. Brutal Legend PS3 game

This is a great game if you are a fan of Jack Black or metal music. You play as a character named Eddie (voiced by Jack Black) who has been dragged into this mysterious metal music world to help battle an evil leader who has control over the land. The actual gameplay is not super exciting, but the music and dialog makes up for it. The dialog is funny, and the lines are totally reminiscent of Jack Black. Now, for those of you who are not fans of metal music or who are not particularly fond of Jack Black, this is probably not your game. The missions are a bit repetitive, and the battle scenes involve ordering troops around. Brutal Legend

Brutal Legend is a tour de force that wraps up humor, music, and clever gameplay into one highly polished package. You haven't played a game quite like this before and won't want to miss it. Tim Schafer is one of the funniest guys in games and Jack Black is one of the funniest guys in movies -- together they'll keep you ROFLing (although the laughs do taper off as you work your way through the game). Brutal Legend isn't quite perfect and there is room for improvement (it's a little short, side quests are repetitive...), but when the credits roll you'll find yourself hoping for a sophomore release. Double Fine created a rich heavy metal universe and backstory full of great characters and creatures, with potential for an out-of-this-world sequel. Brutal Awesomeness

In reality this is probably a average game, but for me it was really good, being a fan of heavy metal I could really appreciate this game which is actually relevant(to my surprise) The story is actually funny, mostly due to the good voice acting, the graphics are ok besides some of the lighting and frame-rates in the game. Some of the character designs looks like they were alittle ripped off from Guitar Hero, but it actually mixes well with this fantasy world, which is a interesting world...for $20 dollars, you just really need to have this game, even if it's just to have on your shelf. Good story. Good voice acting. Good music.

Brutal Game!

This game is one of the bests i have played in many many years....
It starts with a really fun story and it gets even better. Really easy learning curve so it makes the game nice and fun to play.r>The history is really good and it counts with a lot of great singers and an AMAZING soundtrack.
Nice missions and nice graphics make the game even better.
Besides the main story line, you can still make a lot of side quests to improve your char and there's a lot of hidden items on the world that tells a little bit more of the history.

PROS: Great Soundtrack, easy to get the handle of the gameplay, nice story, good multiplayer.
CONS: Unfortunattly the side quests get a little bit repetitive with time, but nothing that affects the game in self...

They should make more games like this!

So far, I'm enjoying this game: BIG TIME! What seemed like a charming-but-linear game turned to be an epic adventure! And I'm not exaggerating. There are many missions to do outside of the main ones. There are many, many memorable scenes and funny stuff in this game. Overall it's a kick-ass action videogame.
It's not perfect though. The camera system is a pain in the ass and sometimes I have trouble with the depth perception of the weapons. I constantly slash and miss thinking it's a sure hit!
But that doesn't take from the experience. If you like games that offer action, exploration and a kick-ass soundtrack, this is the game for you.

I brought this game for my 10 year old son. He got on my ebay and out of all the listings he liked this one. I have taught him well. He searches thru the sellers, feedback and location. This was the best bargain. He was very happy with the quality and the game is exactly what he was looking for. Brutal Legend..Brutal Heavy Metal..Headbangers Delight

If you haven't tried Brutal Legend, I highly recommend it. It is a large open world that you can explore, while riding in the {DEUCE)with Rock of Ages blaring out of the car radio. It has an awesome selection of Heavy Metal tunes,some I had to buy for my ipod. I liked what I heard on the game that much.Jack Black is hilarious as EDDIE the Roadie. It has a good variety of missions. The only thing I disliked was there are some repetitive parts, but the game is still a lot of fun. Rockin Game, Loads of Fun

I bought this for my video game obsessed boyfriend. He loves games and when I adopted the task of getting him a video game for christmas, I knew I had my work cut out for me. He owns almost everything and I really hoped that this game would meet his standards. It did and he loved it. It's got great music, awesome effects and is exciting to watch. why was this game so cheap?

I got WAY more than my money's worth playing this...awesome in just about every way. Enough side missions to keep you occupied. showdowns with bosses that are challenging without feeling like they're overwhelming. Jack Black does a great job, a bunch of cameos by metal royalty (metallica and megadeth are missing, as well as iron maiden (and danzig, and HIM), but hey that's what sequals are for...DO YOU HEAR ME GAME-DEVELOPERS???
