This is a new engine take-off, so it is perfect. You know it fits because it was on an engine. It is great addition to any air cooled engine, because the oil is the life blood of air cooled engines, so cooling the oil makes it a longer lasting, better lubricant.Lire l'avis complet...

Upgraded my 18HP Briggs-Stratton engine to have a oil cooler.
I received the part within days of ordering....
The oil filter that cam attached to it was dented (not bad) but you are not really buying this for the oil filter are you? Note that it was on a engine so it will be oily when you get it.
Everything was in good condition.
I put this on my 18HP Briggs-Stratton engine which does not come with a oil cooler unlike it's bigger brothers. I lengthened the sensor wire a inch so that the wire would not be so tight as the sensor location changes. Lire l'avis complet...

Keeps my old 20 yr. Vanguard running!
Bolt on for my older OEM Briggs Vanguard 16hp v-twin, runs a Scag 48in mower. Easy to add on pressure gauge. Can be adapted to any Briggs Vanguard 16hp engine that didn't have one.
I'm currently using an over-voltaged 12v computer 3in. square mini cooling fan, with an accessory Black & Decker 20v battery on the Vanguard V-twin 16hp. See photo.
Oil cooler add-on keeps oil temps down to approx. 100 deg. C. max. operating temperature while oil pressure runs at about 25psi at 2500rpm. This has lowered oil operating temps 27 deg. F., depending on fan size and speed. Without an electric fan, temps reach approx 226-28 deg. F. under operating conditions. Every 20 deg. F. drop in oil temp can double oil life.

Direct bolt up
If you are looking for a cooler to do your B&S engine some good this is the ticket.
Just unbolt your filter adapter, get a new gasket and bolt this one up.
