The debut of Boston simply the best by the band

This is easily in my top 10 best (entire) albums from the 1970's. If your a rock music fan then you probably have owned this in one form or another over the years since its original release in 1976. I have had it on vinyl, cassette and now cd (twice due to a theft of my cd's from my car a while back). This is one of the most melodic, graceful and flowing albums ever made. I remember when I was a kid and this was released, just how shocked I was at the sound quality and clarity of this music. It was like nothing else at that time. On the strength of awesome guitar work, outstanding lyrics and the fact that this music was so different than everything else, the band broke out and rose to fame. After more than 3 decades I still feel the same way about this debut release, and I still find time to listen to it on a regular basis.Lire l'avis complet...

Boston by Boston

Boston also managed to place six great songs on a debut album featuring a total of eight tracks. More Than A Feeling is a classic hard rock track that sounds as vital and fresh today as it did in 1976. The other five tracks at the front end of Boston, Peace Of Mind, Foreplay / Long Time, Rock & Roll Band, Smokin' and Hitch a Ride are equally hypnotic in the interplay between layered vocals, smooth harmonies, impossibly catchy melodies and fearless guitar and keyboard instrumental sections.Lire l'avis complet...

Its more than a Feeling, Its Peace of Mind...

This album has personal history attachments for a lot of those from my "Boomer" generation. It became a kind of gold standard for encouragement and inspiration during a period social upheaval and geo-political tension, when encouragement and inspiration could hardly be found.
A gold standard that follow-on generations would do themselves justice to reference on occasion.

Enjoyable!

We were very happy with the CD we purchased. It was fun to listen to some rock ‘n’ roll music from back in the day. We just recently started buying the older albums and cds we used to listen to.

best example of "rock" music ever

Boston is so good, it's a given that they're the best example of "rock" music ever... no one else even comes close.

Boston - Boston 1986

This is one of the greatest albums/cds/cassettes of all time. Very few cd's have songs that are ALL good, but this one does. And the sound is awsome. If you like old rock n roll then this is the cd for you. Relieve the years gone by with the sweet sounds of Boston. And if you have an ipod to download it too and listen through head phones even better to quote "I Turn Up The Music And Drift Away." (From More Than A Feeling.) AAAA+++++Lire l'avis complet...
