A nice find
The radio functions well and sounds great. The only thing I wish I had looked at more closely is the fact that this is just a radio. Would have liked it more if it played cds but I worked it out . I bought another brand stand alone cd player and plugged it into the auxilliary portion of the Bose radio, Another thing that might be nice is the remote but I'll get one later. Older Bose Wave Radio Still works Great
I like the Bose Wave Radio features. The fact that they have backup batteries to keep the clock going and the settings held in case of a power outage is great. This is a great product. I ordered a brand new Bose at Christmas but sent it back because the quality was not as good as the older ones, primarily the volume of sound. Bose Wave Radio AWR1-1W Review
We had one in an office I worked at over a decade ago. I always liked the sound of it and I needed something small for my home office / man cave. There isn't room for a component system and I didn't want the visual clutter of one anyway. The Bose unit is very nice looking and the first gen are well priced used. It came with a remote for a Bose Wave Radio w/CD player and the seller said he couldn't guarantee the remote worked. I put a new battery in the remote and it didn't work. I looked around and on the Bose site saw they had the best prices and selection of remotes. I got the one for the Wave Radio without CD player for $15 and it works perfectly. I think the remotes for the CD and non-CD version aren't compatible. As far as the sound - it's good and will fill the room as loud as I dare, and sounds good at low volumes as well. Like many reviewers, I wish it had bass and treble controls, but the sound is fine. I'm totally sure that if I had a component system or a larger boombox I might get better sound, but this was $100, looks great, is all one small unit and puts out a pleasant big stereo sound. To make it more versatile, I purchased a bluetooth receiver and plugged it into the AUX port on the back. Now I mainly stream Pandora, Spotify and YouTube through it. I paid about $25 for the bluetooth receiver on Amazon (Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Bluetooth Streaming). Sound great. Display poor.
The product works as expected (CD and Radio). However, the display is very light and impossible to read from any distance. I tried to boost the brightness according to the instructions that I downloaded. It made no difference. Our previous Bose did not have that problem.Lire l'avis complet...

Bose Wave Radio
Like most Bose products, this one is no exception. The wave radio has a full sound, especially the bass. Place it close to a wall, and even more rich. Can't go wrong.

Good sound!
The radio came with the "F" Connector for the FM antenna missing. Otherwise the radio worked as advertised. I was able to replace the "F" connector and it seems to be working with my outside FM antenna. Good radio and replaces the same radio that has failed.Lire l'avis complet...
