Easy to install and does not require extra keys
It's a great product, easy to install and use you car key to open it. Instructions are easy to follow, took about 15 minutes to install. Make sure to get the rivet gun or have access to one. Good piece of mind. It's been a long time since I heard of anyone getting their battery or engine parts stolen, but I don't always park in the best of neighborhoods, so it's just good insurance. Excellent quality for $100 less than the Mopar lock
Same exact design and quality as the Mooar lock for 1/3 the price. I had the Mopar lock on my '14 JK and bought this BOLT lock for my '17 JK. It's awesome that we have a much more reasonably priced option for good hood security. Also be aware that this lock is easily "programmed" to your existing ignition key so there are no extra keys to mess with. Installation is also fairly easy. I used nuts and bolts instead of the included rivets so I have the option to remove it later if necessary. Lire l'avis complet
Hood lock jeep wrangler
Ths hood lock is awesome device.
Only one issue with it, doesnt use fasteners due to the lack of assebility.
The kit comes with large rivets, which i could not find a gun for.
End up buying a size smaller, since there are available guns for it and adding washers front and back.

Easy to install
Other than needing a large rivet gun, borrowed one from my mechanic, it works great. I did have a problem with my winch as I couldn't lay the grill down far enough, just used a couple of bolts. Very impressed with the way it fit my key and my extra key. Cool feature. I would definitely recommend this to any jeep owner.Lire l'avis complet

Great way to secure JK hood
I bought this to replace the tuffy hood lock so I could get rid of an extra key on my chain. This was very easy to install. One thing that I changed was that I tapped the holes and used some 5/16 bolts instead of the rivets.

Great hood lock for a Jeep
This is a really solid hood lock. Easy to install and it blends in well such that it isn’t overly obvious. The included rivets are pretty large but I used some quality rivets I had that did fit my rivet tool and it worked fine. Very much worth the asking price. Lire l'avis complet

Great cheaper alternative to the Mopar one. Plus you can shut your hood and leave it in unlocked if you wish.
Great product. I wish the backside was covered like the Mopar one. However it has one GREAT benefit over the Mopar one. You can remove your key with the unit unlocked. The Mopar one did not allow for the key to be removed when it was locked. This is useful when you drop it off at a garage for work. They don't like using the key or sometimes they can't figure it out.

Buy this instead of the Mopar
I purchased the Mopar lock first. Came with bags of springs and tumblers. I’m pretty darn handy but after a while of fiddling with it I gave up. Ordered this one. It comes as the Mopar one should. Fully assembled. Put your key in and turn it. The Mopar part really disappointed me but Bolt earned a repeat customer. Have a spare tire lock and hitch pin on the way.Lire l'avis complet
