RIM Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 (Unlocked)

When I received it the first thing that I liked was its size and light weight. It is a very portable smartphone and has 3G which is important for browsing speed. Also, the wifi included is very useful if you have wifi in your house, office, etc. The battery lasts long. Emails, chatting, etc. is fully supported.The trackpad is very useful to get around menus, and the qwerty is useful for tipping fast. The accessories are cool, I use the charger to charge my iPod. I don't like too much the camera, it does not include flash, but in light the resolution is fine. The CD that came is not useful, you must download Blackberry app from internet. In conclusion, I recommend it.Lire l'avis complet...

I've had my Blackberry Curve 9300 which I've anticipated for so long because of the easy navigation and the track pad instead of the track ball and so far it is fairly good for almost three weeks now. It fits nicely into the pocket, light and easy to carry around but I'm still not familiar with all the features and that is due to the fact that I only got a charger alone with it in the package. It said everything was supposed to be included in the package and there was no CD to install or anything to guide me. I'm not sure if it said there was a fm/am radio on it but wish it had that. This is my first product purchase from Ebay and I didn't really know what to expect. Overall, it was a good purchase and I think I would recommend Ebay to someone else in the future.Lire l'avis complet...

A Little Workhorse That is Worth The Money!!

I like this phone a lot. It's a little smaller than my original blackberry 8820 but it works fine. Not the phone's fault that I have big fingers. It is a fast phone and it does well picking up the 3G network in my area. It's browser is fairly fast and functionable. I like how light in weight this phone is. It's so light that I sometimes forget it is in my pocket.

I bought this phone for the 3G capability and the camera. Both of these work great. I am a little disappointed that they didn't include a flash for the camera, but I'll survive. I read a few bad reviews about this camera but I don't find what their beef is. I think that some people expect too much out of technology and they want more than what they're paying for.

I hate touch screen phones, so the keys on the Blackberry are wonderful for me. They're fairly easy to learn and while not a true qwerty keyboard it is very close. I hope that Blackberry never eliminates the keyboard under pressure by younger people who like touch screens. Touch screens wear out after time but keyboards last much longer. Oh, and I like the new touch-track on this phone. It seems to respond better than the old trackballs on blackberry's and I think that the dust problem is now eliminated.

While the 9300 is not the top of the line Blackberry it is very close and for the person who cannot afford five or six hundred dollars for a PDA/Cell phone, it is more than adequate. This is my third Blackberry, and I'll never buy a different brand again. The 9300's battery life is outstanding, leaving other phones in the dust.

In closing, I would offer one piece of advice. DO NOT EVER buy a phone that although it is unlocked, isn't issued by your carrier. I just returned a Verizon 9630 that had been unlocked, but the browser did not work and would not work without tweaking the software which is a risky thing to do. My 9300 has my network's logo (ATT) and it worked right out of the box; everything worked. So now go out and buy a 9300 Curve, you'll thank yourself for making this choice, and you can take you wife out for a nice dinner (a weekend for that matter) on what you save over the top of the line phone.

Excellent phone & email

I have been using Blackberry phones for many years and this is the best one for these reasons:

* Does its core jobs competently for business and private use.
Phone, speakerphone, good wireless reception, excellent email handling, usable keyboard, usable camera, everything works well without overdoing anything.

* Has a trackpad instead of a trackball.
The trackpad is like an optical mouse turned upside down. It is a big improvement over the unreliable trackball on some models.

* Can be customised
You can hide all the icons for things that you don't use, so you get a nice clean uncluttered display that only does what you need.

* Connects to WiFi
Using WiFi to make calls works great and saves roaming charges abroad.

* Has voice control
This has been popular in Europe for years, why it's taken so long to get it in a Blackberry is beyond me. Say "Call Home" and it just does it.

Very Fast, Small and full of features

The BlackBerry Curve 3G is a really nice phone, it comes with BlackBerry device software 5.0 out of the box, mine is the AT&T unlocked version.

Phone is fast (624Mhz CPU) and multi-tasker, which means you can run many apps at the same time, for example you can surf the web while playing music, or download a file while watching a video. It has WiFi.

Internal Memory is about 160MB: 128MB for apps, 32MB for music, videos and documents. But you can expand that limitation with an microSD memory card.

Camera is a 2.0MP one without Flash, which maximum resolution is 1600 x 1200 but they looks nice and can record video with sounds (only if you have a microSD inserted)

256MB RAM makes your device upgradable to blackberry device software 6.0 which means you'll be able to get the latest browser from RIM with HTML5 support.

It has: Full qwerty keyboard plus trackpad navigation, customizable conveniences keys on the side, and multimedia keys on the top for pausing, move to the next or to the previous music or video.

Overall this is a great phone for communicating, surfing the web, watch videos or listen an music. Nice design, great features, fast and GREAT.

Thanks, God bless.

Great Smatphone

It's hard to get excited about a phone that only offers minor upgrades to what came before, and relies on a future software update for its only innovative feature. But, if you're looking for a perfectly adequate BlackBerry that ticks all the boxes, there's not much wrong with the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300. Its trackpad is as responsive as a sloth, though, so, if you can stump up the cash for a beautiful BlackBerry Bold 9700, we'd suggest getting that instead.Lire l'avis complet...

Blackberry Curve 3G 9300

Love the phone, but it has taken some time to get used to not having a roller ball. It's a bit more touch sensitive, but otherwise it's great and a very lightweight phone!
