Overall good value for money without the pose factor of an I Pad.
This was bought as an alternative to the over priced I Pad, I have owned both.
It takes a little while to boot up, once running it is fairly quick, it does not have a quad core processor.User interface is easy a little different, once you are familiar with it,the swipe to change screens is quite intuitive. I downloaded the latest IOS. Which has far more apps but still not as many as the Android or Apple devices, but at least it has flash player. The H.D.Screen is impressively clear for streaming BBC I player and You Tube etc,the sound is OK for any device of this size, the 64 Gig storage is impressive, all my music easily loaded. My criticism is it does not support the Kindle app, but this can be installed with a lot of faffing about see Google for the solution, It feels nice, good solid quality maybe slightly heavy in comparison to the other devices, It has Blackberry quality build feel not plastic. Excellent piece of kit at what I believe to be a great price.
This PlayBook/tablet has so far lived up to my expectations for a tablet costing under £120.00 delivered.
I use it mainly to check my e-mails or use the net and it works a treat.
This is the second one I have bought as the first was given to my son who likes it but as all the younger generation say, it's not an Ipad, but he is satisfied with it so far. I hope to use the video conferencing with him, he is in Australia at present, so will wait and see.
So far I have placed a lot of music on it and it sounds not bad at all, very pleased.
Once you get the hang of using it, it is relatively simple to use, even for an old dinosaur like like me.
All in all, I am very pleased with it but would suggest not buying anything less than the 64 GB version as the price difference just does not justify it.
I hear tell there is a new upgraded operating system due out very soon, should have been January, but have not as yet seen it?
There is new 3G version out but at what I believe to be prohibitively high price when comparing to this one which is only Wi-Fi?Lire l'avis complet...
good quality product at price which doesnt make a hole in your pocket.
This is nice piece of technology. battery life is good. camera is of good quality, can produce reasonable quality video and still. responsive and colours are vibrant. though not a match of ipad etc but is a class of its own . easy to use ,reccomend 4 stars. for children , students and light users with good memory.

Awesome tablet, value for money. Great all rounder.
Always wanting a tablet and not wanting to fork out silly money for an ipod i opted for blackberry. Being familiar with the brand i was impressed by the build quality, the screen and the sound. You will read that people will slate it for not having enough apps, but if you are looking for a tablet to surf the web, watch movies on and listen to music through then this is the tablet i would choose hands down all the time. its storage of 64gb compared to other tablets out there is amazing value for money. If you have phone you can sync all your data, you can also use it to remote your pc (app needed) handy if you use it for business needs. The battery life is impressive but like all batteries this will fade as time goes by. Pretty good for the money but its no IPad
I bought this product mainly to take when away from home. It is well made if a little on the heavy side and has the unique blackberry operating system. The screen is clear and bright and for general use is pretty well o.k.
My only disappointment is that it does not like weak wifi signals and at one particular destination that I visit regularly it will not connect even though my old faithful laptop will!Lire l'avis complet...
I call the Playbook my second best friend.
Bought this item a few months back now and I can safely say it's the best gadget I've ever purchased,I needed something small compact with plenty of memory which I can get Online with,also I didn't want Android or Apple again.
There isn't anything I dislike about the playbook,thats if BlackBerry don't release bb10 shortly (it is very much awaited).

Stick with an Ipad if you want to watch tv
The Playbook has failed to live up to my expectations. I read a lot of hype as to how it was better than an Ipad.
My Ipad2 is a complete saviour. I receive UK tv via filmon through the internet. Clear & fantastic. I am Cyprus based.
A backup tablet I thought would be a good idea just in case anything happened to the ipad. The playbook does not play filmon properly with constant jerking of movement. It does play youtube videos with no problem. So watching a complete ballet is fine for instance. I am also going to use the 64gb storage for transferring my Creative Vision Zen m collection of classical albums, as a backup.
They do say that a new OS will fix filmon but my attitude is 'don't hold your breath'.Lire l'avis complet...
Good memory, easy drag/drop (no iTunes) good screen, compact for travel
Bargain for price, I can drag/drop movie to it for my daughter, 64gig hd, 10 movies hardly touched it.
Apps seem a good selection but as bought for my 2 year old there is a lot of games with in game purchase so I just delete them, good screen res.
