A good phone overall, although still far from perfect.

Bought this BB to replace my older model which had become rather primitive. This is a good smartphone overall (I must admit that I am a BB fan) but, to my liking, lacks some features such as embedded GPS which seems standard in most of the smartphones now-a-days, including cheaper models. The phone is easy to use, very intituive and has an awsome long-lasting battery. In general terms, happy with my purchase but fearing for RIM due to the fact that i.e. Samsung will give you many more features for the same or less money.Lire l'avis complet...

Brilliant product! Easy to staying connected!

I really like my new Blackberry 9780 Black smartphone. It is sleek and stylish. I bought it because i wanted a better model after my previous phone became faulty. The keys are small and close together, but quick to get used to. It did take a week or two to figure out how to connect the phone to internet, but once connected, easy to use. The only feature i feel needs improvement is the the sound quality while actually calling someone, however, i don't know if every phone is the same, or if it is only mine that sounds muffled. I like the great 5mp camera quality. The locking feature is neat but easily missed. I love how the light flashes when there is a new notification to be seen. But my favoraite feature is the Blackberry Messenger which connects anyone with a Blackberry and provides a quick, free form or communication. Perfect Phone

This phone is perfect for making calls and texting ( I do not use the phone for internet at all). The keyboard is great. I am not a fan of touch screens so this phone suits me fine. There are never any accidental calls or texts sent to the wrong recipient. I've had two blackberrys in the past and they were both excellent as well. You can feel the quality just by holding it. One of the strongest BlackBerries yet

This phone has a very powerful camera and lots of on-board memory. Apps run smoothly and are easy to switch between, and the browser handles bulky pages much better than earlier models of the Bold. There is rarely any hang when performing actions, and the trackpad is extremely easy to use and very smooth in scrolling through long lists.

Sometimes, the trackpad gets a mind of its own and scrolls in one direction if left alone, but this is easily remedied by resting a finger on it. The buttons work wonderfully with no sticking or doubling. Because the trackpad is on a previously used phone, sometimes the scrolling issue will cause letter characters to shift to special characters (like accented letters), but this doesn't happen enough to be a nag. Overall the phone is extremely sturdy, fabulously easy to use, and is better organized in terms of where options and settings are located. Things are more streamlined than in previous OS versions. Just like new!

Came quickly and was packed nicely with a charger (not the original, but it works!) I did have to order an additional battery since the one it came with would die at around 50% charge but the replacement battery was only ten bucks. So total for a like new phone was only 40 bucks! Great value and great condition. A little dusty in the cracks but it was easily cleaned. Amazing, I forgot how much I missed blackberry until now!Lire l'avis complet...

I bought this for a gift.. I got at the begging a broken one. I emailed and called the number in the package and they very fast sent me a replace phone without they wait to get the broken one, they sent me the good one. In one moment I had two phones. What the 9700 should have been from the beginning

If you, like me, are part of the BlackBerry crowd, and absolutely must have a physical keyboard, then this is the phone for you. Perfect size and weight for everyday use, plus a decent amount of RAM (a much needed increase to 512MB from 256MB on the 9700) make this an excellent smartphone. The camera has also been improved.
