Product does what I wanted.
I've had hood struts on previous vehicles and they greatly reduce the frustration of working around the factory hood prop rod. Order wise - delivery was timely and packaging was intact with no damage to the product. Never looked at the instructions, as I've installed these several times and they are pretty simple to figure out, so I can't speak to the instructions. Product installed easily and within about 15 minutes installation was done. A little muscle required to compress the piston to fit in over the ball joint, but not difficult. Make sure to leave the prop rod up until both shocks are installed - one shock will not hold up the hood. Overall, a little bit expensive considering I can buy the same struts at a local auto part store for a third of the price - but the ball joint clips are needed so they kinda got ya.... Easy, nice upgrade.
Easy to install this upgrade in maybe 20 minutes. Clear instructions and nothing missing from the items needed. Only takes one ratchet and a 12mm socket. It allows the hood to lift higher and you no longer have the Prop Rod right in your way.Lire l'avis complet...

Great product
Way cheaper than other options. Shipped quickly. 15 minute installation if you read the instructions before you start and have a second person to help hold hood. Suggest you attach strut rods to hood & fender mounts with kit before installing on car. Straighten (align with plane of fender) and tighten fender mounts first before installing hood, as the hood mount is slotted for adjustment. On my ND Miata, it ended up being at the bottom of range, where the bend of the bracket snugged up against oem hood bracket. If you’ve done it right, the hood should close smoothly and lift the hood without assistance (once you’ve lifted the hood about a foot). Great price.Lire l'avis complet...

Lifted the hood and my spirits...
Was able to install the product in less than 20 minutes. No issues with unwanted gaps or misalignment of the hood when closed. The lift when opening the hood is smooth, and provides an additional 15-20 degrees of head clearance...
Also a benefit that this product is interchangeable between the new Miata and Fiat 124 spider...Lire l'avis complet...

The struts are for a MAZDA Miata MX5 but also work perfectly on a FIAT 124 Spider.

I don't understand why this is not OEM from the factory. However, I installed these on my Mazda MX5 and it was such an easy install and WOW what a difference. No more fiddling with the hood prop. As a matter of fact I removed it. These work very well-I highly recommend!Lire l'avis complet...

Nice upgrade!
Nice packaging! Installs very easy; works great. Hood raises after lifting about 1/3 the way up.. Hood is at a nice pace.
