Bootcamp

I've had many Billy Blanks sets, but they were all VHS, so I needed DVDs. I was going through a rough time a couple of years ago, and I just loved Billy's attitude and the workouts.
The Bootcamp DVD is pretty intense. If you're a beginner to Billy's program, I wouldn't start out with this one. The Bootcamp DVD is assuming that you already know how to do the moves, and jumps right in! But if you're already familiar with Billy's program, its a workout and a half! If you're new o the DVD's, you should probably start out with the ones that go into detailed instructions, because you can get hurt doing them incorrectly.Lire l'avis complet...

Best workout ever!

Billy Blanks is so very discriptive to follow and very tough. This makes the dvd great when you can not do all of it because it is challanging. I love his workouts! My body has a all over feel of muscle use, the kind of pain that I crave. I feel so young and in shape,flexible and strong. I'm fifty three and have kept fit all my life. I didn't think that I could do tv stuff, thinking that I would sit back and give up and just watch. Oh I was so wrong! I try not to miss a single move and what a result in my body as in tight stomach, legs, arms etc. I highly recommend any of his workouts! Really!Lire l'avis complet...

Billy Blanks Ultimate Bootcamp 2005

As a Billy Blanks user for over 9 years, I really liked this one better than the one for 2006, but I like the bands from the Ultimate bootcamp (2006) one better to use with this one (if that makes any sense). But this one made me sweat a lot, I personally still like the 'Get Ripped advanced' ones the best, they still kick my butt after all this time, but I just get sick of doing the same ones over and over so I have almost all of his workouts. Ultimate Bootcamp

I was not aware that I was supposed to have resistence bands for part of this tape. But even without them it was a very hard and good workout. I would have made a few changes, especially the push up section (it was a tad bit impossible for a girl-weakling like myself). I like the video but unlike some of my other workout videos it did not seem to go by very fast. This might be a good thing considering how hard I worked. I wished the stretching part of the tape was longer, but if you're looking for a good sweat and toning session I would buy this DVD. I have never done any of his other tapes so I can't compare it to his others, but definitly a good tape to have in my workout collection.

Billy Blanks - Ultimate Bootcamp (2005, DVD)

I bought Billy Blanks - Ultimate Bootcamp (2005, DVD) last week. I enjoy working out and have other taebo tapes, but, not a recent one. And I'd heard that this one is tough. It is great! It pushed me in some areas and basically gives my body some muscle confusion so I do not get used to one workout. Billy Blanks is a great motivator. He pushes you. The ab routine is a killer. And the exercises can be modified if need be. He uses bands in the routine, but, you do not need to. I would've liked a longer cool down at the end, but, that's okay, I add my own. Good Moderate Workout!!

Overall this is a good workout by Billy Blanks. I would have to say it is a little to hard for beginners and a little to easy for advanced. It is a good workout for someone in the middle stage. Billy is a good instructor - he moves quickly though. You have to do the video a couple times to get all the moves correct and in the right order. There is alot of bending and so forth - I would not recomend this for someone with bad knees or joints.Lire l'avis complet...

YOWZERS!

This DVD is very hard- I can't emphasize that enough. It is one hour of intense cardio (think drill sargeant, push ups upon push ups, and screaming muscles). On the plus side, I found muscles I didn't even know I had. I'd be shocked if I could ever eventually get through this DVD without taking several breaks or modifying the exercises to fit my personal fitness level.
Also, don't expect a zippy soundtrack, just a lot of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 counts.

Works for Me

I consider myself pretty well fit for a 52 year old, having run/walked all my adult life, but this workout makes me feel muscles I did not know I had. It's only shortcoming is that some of the workouts are too brief -- wish they were a few counts longer, especially the stretches. I like all the bootcamp DVDs, and this is the best for me. It's fast-moving, uses lots of different muscle groups, and Billy does not leave you waiting while he explains things as he does a time or two in the others.Lire l'avis complet...

Burning calories!

I was a swimsuit model several years and recently had a baby at age 37. Weight wasnt as easy to come off as it was when I had my other 2 children 15+ years ago. I am struggling with those 'last 10 lbs'. I am pretty athletic and play soccer weekly. I bought this dvd and started right away. I started to sweat right away (good thing!). The next day I was so sore from the workout. I really love this dvd and plan to use it daily, even after the weight is gone. Challenging and fun, but not for beginners.

This 55 minute video is high energy and targets almost every body area. Billy Blanks is very motivating. I couldn't do every exercise the first time--but the more I do the video, the longer I last. It's challenging, but fun. I wouldn't recommend this to someone just getting back into shape. This video is for a person in average to better than average shape. Endurance is key!
