The documentary stands on its own as an engaging synopsis of this historical epoch, but when viewed in conjunction with the popular historical blockbuster, it adds an extra dimension that really drives the historical impact home. Good Value for an Intro to Alexander!

Got this at a bargain price. No complaints here. Overall an excellent introduction to Alexander even though I have seen other productions. The interviews with historians Fox (whose book I am reading now), Cartledge, Bose, and others are invaluable. The bonus features on the Troy connection and the timeline map of Alexander's journey are welcomed additions. For what it is worth, this is for the general audience who wants to know more.
