Quick, Convenient Temperature Checker
I'm very pleased with this infrared thermometer. Be sure to follow the instructions to calibrate it after inserting the batteries (2 AA). Don't neglect to let it sit at your room temperature for 15 minutes before calibration. I was too eager the first time, and followed the calibration procedure after only about 5 minutes. I got it to match the temperature of my digital, oral thermometer, but it was drastically different when I used it after half an hour. I re-calibrated it, and since then it has been consistently accurate. I can reassure myself that I haven't developed a fever quickly and easily at any time, and I don't have to wash it after each use. The last time I was at a hospital, the admissions person was using....."TA DA" a Berrcom JXB-178 to check peoples' temperature. great product for the price!
It is very easy to use, light weight, and accurate. Allows F or C temperature readings, can measure a person's temperature, the air temperature, or a surface temperature - depending on the mode it is set on. It also holds a history of the past 10 recordings. I have only used it for a week (and this is a great tool during the covid epidemic) - so I can't vouch for the long term capability... but I see no reason to suspect that it will fail. I didn't have the experience of knowing other people that have these type of thernometors, ,no touch.
It work be great if I didn't have to calibrate the different numbers, etc.
Calibrate to get correct numbers, not varied by aiming at 3 parts of forehead. Isn't exact. when you check
it against other thermometers. It's "about" right, hardly exact as expected.
They make it all work to set up correctly, when it could have come more ready to use. The recommendation

I work in the medical field and purchased an $80 digital thermometer several months ago to check patient temperatures as they entered our office. I recently purchased this digital thermometer for less then $15, and this one works so much better. It is easier to read. Only wanted accurate forehead temps
Very dissapointed,and after not being able to interpret the directions,and taking it to a friend—it still isn’t right as it is in the low range and have to try once again to get it right!! All I wanted was to be able to check temperature! I had intention to give it to a friend,which I did and that’s when I realized it was in the lo range. I was going to give it to a friend who is a grandmother(guardenship) of a five year old who does not like the oral thermometer! Accurate, reliable at a low price.
Because it gives the results very fast. The reading is also very accurate. I tested it 3 times and got the same results. It's price comparing to the high end brands is very reasonable.

Functions as stated by the manufacture! Purchased this brand cause its's powered by AA batteries. Many of the other brands use AAA batteries!

It works very well.
I needed this long before Covid-19. It operates with 2AA batteries (not included)Read the instructions. Calibrate, & I must calibrate between diffrent skin tones& seasonal changes.
This item can read skin temp if held 1-2 inches away. It also.can read room temperature.
The numbers are very large. Easy for me to see.
