Double safety guard is a good idea. Creates a focused intense flame. Piezoelectric start is a handy feature.

This is replacement a very good one

I had ts8000 for awhile. For joining copper pipes, unlocking seized bolts/nuts, lighting camp fires, Used as a hammer(once or twice—almost every tool involved in a hammer side), burning decorations using the flames, fabricating poly, polishing table tops, etc until it got caught in bulldozer tracks. It wasn’t the same after that. So I bought it to replace it while the other went into recycle bin. So far so good I have not have any flames come between my fingers yet. Adjustable flame is a great feature.

Great torch to use with a Searzall.

This torch works great with a Searzall attachment. It fits perfectly and makes a great combo when doing sous vide. The torch has plenty of adjustment range for temperature to get the perfect finish.

Seems great but many have longevity issues.

The TS8000 seems sturdy and of good quality. I have only used it 3 times. for a total of 3 minutes mind you. I do like the flame adjustability. It's a must in tight spaces.

I have read many concerns and complaints about longevity issues with the ignitor. I would have to wait a year or more to comment either way on that. Reliability is so important with products but difficult to comment on until it's too late to comment.

Would give 4 stars but 4 stars is defined as "better than I thought" - by ebay.

The Benz 8000...

Instant Heat... It's the hottest torch they have. I'm a commercial plumber and you got to watch out on half inch other than that... Because of the intense Heat you can get used to that... I love it the best torch ever made.Lire l'avis complet...

Well built torch.

I use this product to start a fire in my wood boiler or wood stove. I have one that works well and wanted another. These ignite every time, have an even broad flame and are efficient.

Great Torch

This is the real heat torch - not one of those cheep copies which look very similar (and are sometimes also labeled "TS8000" but are not from BernzOmatic).

Excellent quality - which is good when you are working with highly explosive gas...
