Great for a first time user
I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and was informed I needed to purchase a monitor. Up to this point I have never even seen one in person, let alone used one. I had an appointment with my nurse to go over use instructions, but the monitor came before the appointment, so I decided to try it out on my own first. The instructions were great. Step by step with pictures. My first try I was able to get it all set up and get a accurate sample. It really was very easy. I took it into my appointment the next day and wowed my nurse with my knowledge! She tested me with her own monitor to insure accurate results, and my results were within 5 points of hers, so she assured me that it was accurate. She told me to do a control test on each new batch of strips and sent me on my way. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now, testing 4 times a day. I have not had a single problem. I have never needed to use more than one strip per test for any reason, and have yet to run into any errors.Lire l'avis complet...

Bayer Next EZ Meter
It seems like it is made well. However, I compare the readings with two other One Touch Ultra meters. They both read with 3 points of each other and the Bayer read 18 points lower. I reapeated the same test 3 times with similar results. When I go for blood tests I'll take a ready and compare it to the labs and the One touch Ultra's readings are very close to the labs. I don't have any confidence in the readings of the EZ Meterso I give it a one star.Lire l'avis complet...

Nice meter
This meter is easy to use and I like how you can use the icons to label the results. The test strips it uses takes just a tiny amount of blood but should you not put enough of a sample on the strip it gives you a second chance to add more.

Too high reading/always deduct -20 / not bad meter
Easy to use fast...but just after you get result reading...deduct -15 or -20...always...then you get right accuracy for this meter....i compared this to my lab test taken same day...

LOVE IT
IT IS VERY EASY TO USE. FAST RESULTS. THE ONLY THING I CHANGED WAS I GOT A DIFFERENT FINGER STICKER, THE ONE THAT CAME WITH THE KIT REALLY HURT. I WOULD RERCOMMEND THIS GLUCOMETER.
