Great mic only if you understand it.

I on a bunch of audio mics. 4 on7’s. This mic has incredible sound quality. actually Had singer say it sounds to much like himself. Front to rear ratio is one of top in industry. You need loud monitors this is your tool. Start with input gain about 3-6 dB hotter than most mics. High pass a must. Once artists are up and Going I usually adjust the high pass up to about 150 plus on the monitor board. So proud when the artists ask me to turn it down in the MonitorMix. Lire l'avis complet...

Best microphone for loud stage Volume

This is the go to Microphone, for bands who have a somewhat loud stage volume, these microphones will just about eliminate the feedback caused by monitors too close or too loud, you have to really develop a good vocal mic technique, to use the features of this mic, and that technique is, to be on top/right on the mic's windscreen, this mike has very good proximity effect control ... all in all, the mic has a nice tonal color to it, somewhat easy to EQLire l'avis complet...

OM 7 Rocks!

This is a low gain dynamic mic that behaves like a condenser (SM-87 for example) Low gain means you have to crank it up at the console, so you need a real board to use this one, and if it's your first time, you might even think it's not working right. And some care must be taken if plugging a conventional gain instrument into the channel you previously had this on.
But once up and running, the off axis rejection & low feedback characteristics are excellent.
And the sound quality is absolutely fantastic, but revealing; If you sound nasally in life, you will with this mic also.

"A great live performance mic."

I have used Shure and Sennheiser microphones, but could never seem to get the right response for my vocals -- always seemed to have to "push" my vocals, which was a lot of work, and never seem to reproduce my natural tone. Then, one night at an Open Mic, I used an OM7 that was onstage...WOW! I could sing effortlessly at low and high volumes -- and the tone was fantastic!

After doing some research as to technically what made the OM7 different, it was apparent that there was a difference in the design, which translated to great performance. So, I purchased the OM7 and am very satisfied , to say the least.

Highly recommended...

Deserves its rep

You can Google the reviews of this mic, specs and the like. I have used Shure SM 58's for decades and always been happy. But the Audix OM7 has a clarity and presence that blows the standard workhorse SM 58 away. A beautiful professional microphone - great for vocals, works extremely well with vocal effects and processors, both live and for recording. A winner!Lire l'avis complet...

"More me in my monitor" problem solver

This is the microphone that isolates the sound you want & rejects the rest. You will have to gain it up more than usual to reach the input level you want but it's worth it. Clear precise uncluttered vocals, minimal feedback potential.Lire l'avis complet...

OM7

I have a few mics from the Audix line. I have the OM2, OM3, OM5, and now the OM7. I have tried Shures, Sennheisers, (which I like much better than Shure). I run Karaoke shows. I like corded mics. They sound better, and they are made better than most cordless mics. Today, I received this OM7. I used it, tonight, for the first time. I was able to CRANK it, and didn't get a single bit of feedback, or ambient noise. I didn't even get the usual resonant noise that I would get from every other mic I have. Just crystal clear vocals. Made it easier to sing. I made the mic good and loud, and didn't have to push so hard. Thank you Audix!!Lire l'avis complet...

GREAT MIC!!!

I have a classic rock band with other 5 friends and we decided to improove our equipment. First thing to change was the microphones. we used a shure sm58, that is a great mic, by the way but we´ve tested an audix om7 from a friend and the difference between them was notorious. The clarity and no clipping sound, with low gain and no distorcion is the most positive. No negative points till now. And yes, I would buy it again. Recommended.Lire l'avis complet...
