Great return of a historic home gaming system

Great return of one of the first video home game systems. All features on this return AR3620X worked by the standards of the day, but if you want super details and super response times... think of when it was made and for the ground-breaking first home game concepts. Think if it an an emulator of your own software when you write computer programs in the initial development era of games. Graphs then and now are the same simple, perhaps even primitive graphics, but fun for even youngsters.
I like the HDMI connection and wireless joysticks. Because all games are pre-loaded, there is no need to change the game cartridges to move to another game.
Instructions were OK, but if you have never played the game before, just consider them basic and only meant to let you start your own adventure.Lire l'avis complet...

Joystick games work great, paddle games... not so much.

Make sure the games built in are ones you like. They're all you will ever have. Even though there are 120 games built in, there are more popular games out there that they didn't put on this particular game due to licensing fees. The paddle controllers are sluggish, so those games are frustrating, but the wireless joysticks work great. And the HDMI output gives sharp picture and sound.
As far as I'm concerned, any joystick game plays just like they did on the Atari 2600. As much as I like Kaboom, and Breakout, they are unplayable because of the lag of the paddle controllers.
All in all, for the money and convenience, this is a great game to buy, (IF) you like the games that are on it. Even if you only like a few, I still think it's worth taking a look at!
Have fun going back in time, with the Atari Flashback Gold Deluxe game. The "Gold" non Deluxe is the exact same game without the paddle controllers. If you have some old original Atari paddle controllers lying around, they will work with this game just fine.Lire l'avis complet...

Old School Fun

Just a fun throwback to show the kids how games where back when dad grew up. Graphics are even worse than I recall and the response of the paddles is awful can’t recall if that is the way they where or just poor quality control in this set. Having said all that, we laugh constantly playing a great selection of games from the hay day of Atari and really isn’t that what it’s all about? Atari Flashback 8 Gold Memories

Excellent like new set and in 720p HD with HDMI. I bought for Space Invaders passed memories and this did not disappoint. Original sounds, Better graphics. Wireless Joystick works great with 2AA batteries.
Cannot wait to show my grandsons.

Good buy if you're looking to relieve old memories.

Handful of games are pretty fun. Be careful on which version of the Flashback you buy, as some do not come with Frogger or Space Invaders, which are a couple of the better games.

Good blast from the past

Better then single shooter

Quick and easy painless love playing old vidwo games with wife. As I can't beat the grandkids on those single shooter games.

Where's Pac Man ?

We're having fun but we need Pac Man, what's Atari without Pac Man ?? We will be returning this gaming console and finding another unit because of Pac Man and other oldies that this one does not have.
