Really nice pickups, and not just for the money.
Nice even, articulate, response across all the strings once you get the pickup height dialed in. I started with the standard Fender pickup height specs with the string pressed at the last fret and measured from the pole piece to the bottom of the string, and ended up with 5/32 on the E and A, and 4/32 on the D and G strings, which is about 1/32 lower then Fender calls for. These pickups have a quick response when plucked and have some bottom end girth when you dig in. Size wise they fit the pickup routes in my 66 jazz bass just fine. The Alnico magnets keep the sound smooth and warm. I really like these.Lire l'avis complet...

Not what I was expecting
Holes don't line up with stock holes for the screws, the bridge pickup did not fit the stock routed hole in my MIM Jazz Bass. The poles hardly match up with the strings stock alignment. Also had to trim my pickguard to get the neck pickup to fit. Not sure how they sound, but far from plug and play. Expect to make alterations to your stock bass if wanting to try these.Lire l'avis complet...
