iPad Air 2 is a giant leap over all previous generation iPads

Own a iPad Air 2 APL1012 6th generation, far better than the 5th generation iPad Air APL5698 which was the first of the iPads to be 64-bit. Only the iPad 4th generation had a nice 32-bit Quad-channel and a decent speed of 17.1 GB/sec. The big difference besides the camera or hard drive is the RAM, as the iPad Air only had 1GB RAM memory and only the A7 dual-ore processor with a speed of 12.8 GB/sec. The iPad Air 2 on the other hand has 2GB RAM for memory using the A8X triple-core processor and a speed of 25.6 GB/sec. Yeah, showing its twice as fast as the previous A7. Be careful when purchasing an iPad, many listing claim they are selling the 6th generation iPad Air 2 but it may only be the 5th generation iPad Air, no number shown after it. Do your homework, be wise. If you want a real nice iPad; save your money for the iPad Pro which is the eighth generation. Skip the 7th gen as it’s about the same as the iPad Air 2. Light as "Air"

So much lighter than my old iPad 2. Works well, crystal clear picture. Nice size and weight for using outside during the nice summer nights. Battery life is better than older model. Very pleased with the light weight, speed, and battery life of this iPad.

Very quick, but am comparing to my gen 4 iPad. Love the light weight of it. Would have liked if glass was not bonded to led because of it ever cracks it’s an automatic $140 repair (screen/lcd cost) and must be able to solder a piece transferred over from oldinto new one. I just received my iPaid yesterday so I cannot comment on battery life yet. I had it on charge all night. I've set it up and sync it with my iPhone and everything is great. Quality is as stated. Faster, lighter, boots up fast, charges from 0% in less than 3 hours. With 64 GB I can load it up with Apps and not worry about running out of memory. I seldom use my computer anymore. All those features and it looks really cool.
