Classic style, good performance, Apple name...iMac.
Its smooth, sleek looking, great performance for its age in all programs, even the most modern. Low end gaming, but hey, at least it games period. Excellent work on photos, videos, music, and the internet. Not to mention how completely amazing it looks. The first incarnation of the now standard Aluminum and Glass, its large face just commands attention when you see it on a desk. It runs really quiet, though it comes with some high heat (the top can burn your hand after intensive usage). It performs best with a full 4GB of RAM, though you can add in an extra 2GB (4GB+2GB) to have 6GB for high memory tasks like Photoshop and virtualization. You can even upgrade the processor, if you're daring enough, and sneak even more performance from it. The graphics, sadly, are stuck as a bottom of the line 3D card...but its encoding abilities and 2D animations are smooth as glass. Despite the '18-bit' screen, even with my pictures and videos, it looks very good, high color, high contrast, ESPECIALLY after manual calibration.
If you're looking for a quick in to what Mac is all about, this is it. You can even use it as a stepping stone to better things, but all in all, good computer. Buy it, use it, love it.Lire l'avis complet...
Very Good Buy
Arrived on time, well packed and exactly as advertised.
Put in extra memory, changed user name and upgraded to Lion, used Migration to switch all my files from my failing imac and I was up and running with a couple of days.

Five years old and can still run the most current operating system
I bought this used on eBay last week, sixty-three months after it first shipped. I challenge you to find any other desktop that holds its value or utility better. It runs the current operating system in stock configuration (2G/250G) but I plan to up the RAM to beyond-spec at 6G and put in an SSD. That should probably get me to a snappier system that will keep up with most of the current installed base. For $40, I can also swap out the optical drive for a second internal bay and have an awesome machine for a while to come. I don't expect I'll be able to run 10.9 when it comes out as this is the oldest machine 10.8 will support. Still, would you try to run Windows 7 on a five year old Dell with only 2 gigs of RAM? Best Mac i've ever owned by far!!!!
The Screen is beautiful to watch full HD movies from NetFlix.
The Built-in BlueTooth and Wifi are both great additions also.
I might just get rid of my Mac Pro and use this for the time being. Just as good but takes up way less space than the Mac Pro and is all-in-one so no tower is needed.
Pros: Works for everyday things, and also takes up as much space as a regular laptop does.
Cons:For some reason the one I bought makes a lot of noise, but I doubt it was suppose to be doing this when first manufactured so assume the guy I bought from did something to it. Other than that nothing for now.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Buy
Came just as described! The computer was packaged very securely with tons of bubble wrap. There is only a small scratch on the screen right near the camera but it is hardly noticeable.... I bought this computer to have an extra screen to run my stock charts and program on and it works perfect with no lag. The fan does seem like it runs a little hard but that is all. Not what expected when ordered but surprised when opened
WOW. I was surprised when open the box and the item was bigger then thought. I said never see small again. It was not expecting but great and easy sit up plus the many features have to choose.

2009 I mac
I’m in love with this 2009 iMac computer. It runs awesome ! The only downfall is it can’t be upgraded to the most recent ox operating system apple has to offer. I guess the computer can be updated for this use or to a early release except ox Capitain. But I had no luck in this. But yet for a older model it can still do simple tasks and surf the web but with Caution. Apple is always updating to newer operating systems and apps that’s are Compatible with newer models and well this one does not fit in.
