Apple Macbook Pro Charger 85W Magsafe A1343
After purchasing and returning multiple "genuine" Apple A1343 chargers over the past few months, this one finally delivers as close to original as we can find. Is it genuine Apple? I have my doubts, but it works and charges without issue other than a short lag before it begins charging. Is it a good value? Absolutely. Would I buy another? Absolutely. Works fine , as expected
Well , i will not say that it's a genuine one , or that it's harmful for your macbook , that's something that i can discover after a month of use or so.
but it works , as expected. I will just note the differences between that charger and the one that Apple sells for 85$ :
- When you plug this charger into your Macbook , it gives right away a green on orange led light (The Apple one , have a one second delay or less before the light comes out)
- When you get this charger close enough to your ear , you will hear some noise. (The Apple one doesn't make any noise when you use it)
- The light (Green or Orange) coming out from the charger when you use it , is not as clear as the light coming out from the Apple charger. The light of the Apple one , is "brighter"
- This charger get hot so fast , comparing to the Apple one.

Stopped working after 5-6 months.
All was well until the other day when I unplugged it and when I went to use it again, it was useless. I noticed that it's half the weight of an original. At the cost, you'd be wasting your money if you bought a new one every 4-6 months ( I saw another person's stopped working after 3 months) when one from Apple costs 3 times as much but lasts many years longer.Lire l'avis complet...

Fast shipping, works great so far.
This appears to be a good OEM version. It fits the original long cable that plugs in the wall which came with the MacBook. It charges just as fast as the original for considerably less money. Hopefully it lasts.Lire l'avis complet...

Works but overheats/// Update: broken
The charger itself overheats like crazy. Have to set it down for twenty minutes to let it cool before throwing in my bag when on the go. It’s hot enough to burn if not careful and smells like an iron sometimes too boot. Can’t complain price wise but caution is key.
Update:
Just a little under two months from when I bought it and this thing is broken. Whenever its connected the green light flashes but never gets to charging. The cable isn't torn, damaged, or otherwise compromised and the same goes for the rest of it. Very disappointed. 85w Power Adapter, OEM at a bargain price too!
These Apple OEM 85w power adapters are great. Because they are Apple OEM's you'll not have the trouble you sometimes run into with cheaper knock-offs. These are genuine, and because they have a built-in transformer, you can use them with any Apple laptop that uses the MagSafe connector. From 13"Air's to the 15" Pros, even with a 13" MacBook Air, that originally came with a 45w, or the 13" MacBook Pro, that came with a 60w power charger. Since the transformer is built into all wattages, the 85w works with all, and just charges the smaller laptops touch faster. Couldn't be any better.
This looks to be an actual Apple power supply, just not in an Apple box. Exactly like my old, failing MacBook Pro 85W power supply. Highly recommended.

OEM Apple made is only option
I refurbish and repair Apple MacBook Pro and many other model types as well as Windows PCs for a living. I have tested many 3rd party and generic magsafe chargers with the same failed results. I have searched high and low for an aftermarket solution that would be an updated design or at least give a different style option but again they all were failures. The only option for charging your Mac Laptop is an Apple made OEM MagSafe charger. I recommend the 85W version for any MacBook and MacBook Pro 13" and larger which come with a 60W or 85W. For the 60W if you use the 85W it will not harm your MacBook it will just run cooler and have an excess of available power which will result in longer life of the charger too.Lire l'avis complet...

Works great, original is best
Replacing a cheap knock-off. Works well. Does not heat up. Did not come with the thick cord, but I had one from my original original adapter. It is worth getting the real deal in this case.
