mostly very good with a few caveats
The ten-inch Kindle is a good product -- I mean, a "miracle" in terms of where we were ten or twenty years ago. A few remarks: I think I would have been satisfied with an 8" model, as the 10" (actually 9.5 x 6.5) displays two pages at the same time and one page would have been enough, and easier to handle. The ten inch is simply an awkward size and too slippery to handle until you've put it into a case.
A minor complaint is that the illumination of the print changes light and dark when there's a bright object or lamp nearby, which is pretty disturbing. And of course the deluge of Amazon advertisements at start up is annoying.Lire l'avis complet...

Fir e 8 has better screen But 10 is fine.
Great price but screen is not as good as the Fire 8
The Fire 8 blows me away as it's bright contrasty screen and SD slot makes it a winner. Some have said it can be hacked to use Google play store, :-),

User friendly and lots of options/apps for viewing
This was an update from the 8" that I purchased for my husband, so I knew what to expect. It's user friendly and easy to handle. I like the larger screen for viewing. So far, works as advertised!

Great Inexpensive Tablet
I wanted a tablet I could use for web surfing, email, etc. Once I got Google Play Store loaded, and then Chrome, I was good to go. Great screen, and very responsive.

In Summation; bigger, brighter.....
The HD 10 is slightly better than earlier Kindles. I guess I expected too much. I was looking for better speakers, extra USB for wireless speakers, but the picture is brighter and it's a bit faster. Battery life is about the same as my Kindle 8. The best one Amazon made was the XLT HD. I've forgotten the rest of the name. It was only 7" but it seemed Better. I could even hear it without external help. The Keyboard worked well also on on the older model.

Love it!
I like the size. My old Fire was an 8 inch which was okay but this works perfect for my books. It is very responsive and the battery lasts a very long time. Love it.

I love my Fire HD10
My Amazon Fire HD 10 has a brilliant clear screen, great sound quality and so easy to navigate. I own an older fire 8 and this a vast improvement. It was to easy to download Google Playstore in 15minutes following Best Buy blog online. It arrived sooner than expected well packaged.in excellent condition.
