Alpine CDA-9857
This is a great unit, just finished installing it last week in my 1989 Porsche 944. Looks clean & neat - classy, very close to the factory Blaupunkt. I had previous experience w/ Alpine, have a 9847 in my Blazer that is also awesome. Does everything I need it to, ready for the Ipod once I get one. Will also be able to connect my Garmin GPS w/ Bluetooth & MP3 capabilities to it as well. Sounds great with the new 4 X 10 3-way rear speakers I installed. Only thing left is installing a subwoofer, that will be awhile yet. Sound of the unit is amazing, controls & menus are intuitive. CD's and MP3's from discs sound impressive. BBE sound processor really helps too. Great sound & great price - bought a $300 unit for $115 on Ebay. I did need to buy a trim ring for $10(this unit's was missing)and order a harness & a few odds & ends from Crutchfield to complete the install. So for about $160 so far, my car really rocks!!! I'm an 80's rock / metal guy & this setup really does the job, can't wait to get the sub in!Lire l'avis complet...
Alpine 9857 in dash reciever

This is an amazing little stereo! It has a nice, rich sound and allows for connections to both an Ipod as well as a separate CD changer (if you still have one, like us)! Alpine CDA-9857
This is a great head unit. The display is nice and bright, and the iPod controls are excellent. It is very easy to browse playlists and artists like you would on the iPod itself. The bottom line: The Alpine CDA-9857 is a solid but unspectacular.
The good: The Alpine CDA-9857 offers AI-Net and integrated iPod support, making it very expandable. Its navigation interface is good, especially for large music sources, and its accompanying KCT-100BT Bluetooth module supports A2DP.
The bad: The unit took a minute or two after we hooked up large music sources before it would allow navigation. Its Bluetooth module won't allow for a really integrated-looking installation.Lire l'avis complet...
Excellent CD player
This is one of Alpine's last CD players and it is, IMHO, one of the best. I have it installed in a 76 Corvette along with a 6 disc changer with no added amplification and it suits me fine.

love everything about this radio except the cd player doest not work I reset it but that didn't help what do i do now
