This is probably one of the best books on miniatures I have ever owned. It features 3 styles of houses, and includes complete instructions to make ALL the furnishings and accessories shown in the 4 rooms featured for each style (a total of 12 rooms).

The authors set out to detail the possibility of building AND furnishing a complete dollhouse using home-made and "repurposed" items. Very well written, easily understandable directions, with actual size patterns.

Loads of clever ideas for taking common throw-away type items and turning them into charming miniatures. From the simple to the elegant, the authors of this book do a fantastic job of recreating historical furnishings and accessories from unique and often discarded items.

I will use this book as a reference material for many, many years to come. So many inspiring ideas in one book makes this a true treasure trove for the miniature hobbyist.Lire l'avis complet...

A good place to begin with a little one to make her first doll house or just to have fun entering the miniature world

This book is by far one of the most extensive collection of building, renovating, inventing miniatures that I have ever run across.
Yes of course its dated,but the basic structure of all minis are.
I am so very glad to have come across this gem of a book, at such a reasonable price.
It showe every style of home, intricate patterns, step by step instructions, history...its like having a mini encyclopedia on everything there is to know about building a house...and all that goes inside.Lire l'avis complet...

All About Doll Houses

It is what I was looking for, since I am a first time builder of a Tudor that has 9 rooms. I needed information on electricity and on building my own furniture.
