Age might make a difference
My daughter is 11 and completely into everything cheerleading. She is thrilled to have this game, but she says it's "hard" to get to the point where she can really cheer. Then, when she gets to that point, it's "hard" to make the cheerleader move where she wants it. She may just need more practice, or it might be better for her when she is a little older. brand new game. kids love it.
daughter is in to cheering. likes games she can participate in, so it was a perfect gift for her. she really enjoys the moves and interaction of the game.

I bought this game for my daughter. She wanted it for the Wii but I figured this one she can take with her and her ds where ever we go. She absolutly loves it
