Picking up speed

I don't watch much network television but have been a Marvel nerd since the 70's so, after some hesitation, bought this disc set of season one.
It started out pretty much as standard TV fare.
Generic and predictable.
But, towards the final chapters, I think the writers began amping things up with ideas normally seen on cable channels or AMC.
Still not packing huge punches but I found myself looking forward to the next episode.
It was surprising, to me, that it started off so poorly given that it was a Joss Whedon helmed event.
It's television, right?
Worth a watch.
It can only get better from here.

A nice surprise!

We have enjoyed all of the "Avenger" type of films in recent years, so thought we'd give the new Agents of Shield a try, and were not disappointed! An entertaining mix of drama, action combat, sci-fi, and comedy, without a bunch of bad language or bedroom scenes. Very convincing acting, and amazing special effects. Indeed an awesome production; destined to be a classic .

This is the most excellent Series from Marvel Studios ; it is like a super good long movie, in that each episode is better than the previous one. I could not stop watching. I hope the second season is a worthy follow-up, because this first season proved a hard act to follow; it answered many questions about S.H.I.E.L.D. and its goals and member relationships; also showed that it is NOT an infallible organization (they were caught almost completely "off-guard" by the recurrence of "HYDRA", which they apparently thought defunct). Give the writers of the whole Series/feature movies entirety related to S.H.I.E.L.D. & the Avengers superheroes, three cheers for the integrity & continuity of the storyline; it all fits together well. A total masterpiece of multi-faceted production. I have not seen this kind of working Series "chemistry", since the "Star Trek" family of Series; and all this amazingly from a virtually new Studio film group .Lire l'avis complet...

Great Hard to Find Marvel Agents of Shield Season 3

Can't help but love Agent Coulson's sense of humor throughout the series. Overall, the series was a great one with wonderful back stories, character development and multiple villains. Good connection to Marvel movies. All in all, great DVD collection. Would have loved to have the Blu-ray version but could not afford almost $60.Lire l'avis complet...

Agents of SHIELD

Watch it! Season 4 is starting in September and I hadn't watched one episode, but my sister-in-law loaned me Season 1 on DVD and I got hooked. Sometimes I'm shocked when I didn't see something coming, but every episode is action packed and super entertaining. I was very pleased to buy the first season of this series and hope to purchase the
others. Great story line and characters in this series and and nice spin off from the

My husband loves it!

I purchased this first season as a Christmas gift for my husband and he loves to watch the episodes. Very engaging and a good story line.

My wife and I picked up on this series in the 2nd season but found it sometimes confusing trying to understand what was happening with the various characters, both the good and the bad. The A of S 1st Season DVD became a perfect introduction to ALL these characters backgrounds, motivations, etc. And the story lines are really interesting-like a composite of "The X files" and "Mission Impossible". Video quality and sound is great and SFX are spectacular for a TV series.
