Rpg/Strategy has some good points. Game crashes are unnerving.

Cliff notes of The Bad and the Good:

The Bad:
-Game crashes/glitches.
-Commanders' units get bunched up in battle causing a nebula of units to flux inertly in place, thus trapping movement and actions of all caught in that scrum.
-Many units I find/found got overshadowed and outclassed...thus, I found only a few units of worthwhile merit to take the field of battle with their respected commanders.
-Weapons/Armor/Accessories/Items/Skills/Ect, can an arduous task of aquiring.
-Difficult to find class upgrading item, thus empowering stats of certain upgradable commanders. I never found one in my 40 hours of game play. I've heard people finding them...but I ending up "punting" on equivocally, first down and 10 (yards) [football colloquial expression]...quitting the game. Sad.
-Random stats upon leveling up commanders. Hate this. I ended up doing probably nearly several dozens of game reloads to get higher stat distributions amongst parameters for each character. Also, you get 1-3 random bonus customization points to distribute amongst those same stats. I dislike game companies that have arbitrary random level ups and/or customizing stat points from leveling up. I prefer, resolute, confident stances on character stat progress done by the companies.

The Good:
-Variety of characters (although my knowledge of the secret characters was less than limited, being my experience with these secret characters from other jrpg nontranslated/nonimported games to USA is non existent. So the cross over effect was non present for me...but, it did leave me with a sense of an enigmatic presense for each of these said secret characters...especially since there doesn't really seem to be any lampshading (back-story) done on them within the respected storylines.
-Aquire different kinds of units to help commanders in battle (think Langrisser series). However, I found many to be not so useful.
-Granted the equipment can be hard to aquire, I always like to equip my characters with special equipment.
-Special commander skills has a nice interface, with said commander yelling some line of his/hers while their picture of themselves gets displayed on the middle of the screen...actually started spamming these skills end game, instead of the rugby matches done by units.
-3 different storylines. But, I'm not sure if you get to play with all the characters at once in a super end game way. I only got about 80% thru one storyline only (I believe it was the UnderWorld story).
-I actually, liked some of the characters and their relations/banter/dialogue.
-I also liked the artwork, how each of the sprites were displayed.
-And the music, [rock, orchestral heavy] was very satisfying to me.

-Just thought to do this review, because of the first and foremost mention: Game Crashes!
-But, if you can look past that and you're likes outweigh your dislikes...you might be able to enjoy some parts of the game.
