Play together, stay together! Good FAMILY Fun.

If you like Wii Fit, this is similar but you do a lot of jumping in this one. If you are put effort into it, you'll burn calories & have fun.

The mat (32.5”x36.5” wide) has a 10' long cord that plugs into the first gamecube controller port. Would have been nice if it were wireless.

You can play as your own Mii & keep track of your progress via graphs, etc. wh There are a lot of different games and levels, so I will list the games & what is involved. This info is taken from the instruction booklet that comes with it-with bits of my own info thrown in.

** indicates a game can be played either in single or multi-player mode.

**TIMBER TRAIL: Run as fast as you can while jumping over and dodging logs.

MOLE STOMPER: Try to quickly hit all of the moles as they appear.

KAYAK ATTACK: Go kayaking down a raging river (escape whirlpools & hit jumps) Use remote as a paddle while standing on the mat.

PIPE SLIDER: Slide down a slick pipe while dodging obstacles. Sit on the mat for this one & use your hands to steer/speed up.

**MINE CART ADVENTURE: Take a wild mine cart ride. Stand on the mat & shift your weight by lifting up which ever foot is necessary to steer the cart around corners. Use the remote to gain speed.

MOUNTAIN BOARDER: Slide through a grassy field on your board while landing tricks. Depending on the placement of your feet/jumping, you will do tricks & obtain points.

SPEED ROLLER: Speed through the course as fast as you can on in-line skates. Alternate your footing to “skate” & use the remote to “steer” where you are going.

LAKE-TOP TRAMPOLINE: Perform amazing tricks in mid-air. You are basically jumping on the mat for this one. Screen shows which area of the mat to press to perform the trick and gain points.

**STONE STEPPER: Sprint across stone pillars in a race to the finish line.

**SPRINT CHALLENGE: Run as fast as you can through the course to earn the best time.

**HEAD ON HURDLER: Race to the goal while clearing hurdles to get the best time.

**LOG LEAPER: Jump logs as they come at you from all sides to avoid getting knocked over the edge.

**CONVEYER RUNNER: See how far you can run without falling off the course. There will be obstacles to jump over too.

**SEESAW BATTLER: Put your button pressing skills to the test with this new variation of hot hands. You need to press the area of the mat that is shown on the screen.

**JUMP ROPE: Play jump rope for as long as you can without tripping.

(MULTI ONLY) WATERFALL CLIMBER: Work in sync with a friend to climb a waterfall. You need to time your actions together to complete the challenge and get over the waterfall.

All activities are in Free Play Mode. There is also the Outdoor Adventure mode (in varying levels) that have a combination of the different activities listed above-kind of like a triathlon. You can also customize your own course. Also available is the Exercise Training mode. You can pick Full Body Exercise, 5 minute Easy, 5 minute Hard, Relaxed, & Upper body. Each has the activities from above that target those particular areas of exertion.

Overall, if you like family games (and not the shooter type gory stuff) this is a pretty fun game to pick up! The graphics are fun, colorful, and cute-more cartoony-which I do not mind in the least. I think it is part of the charm of the Wii games.

Overall, if you like family

Fun for the whole family!

My family and I LOVE this game! It gets all of us off the couch, and competing against each other like crazy! There are levels ranging from easy to difficult so it's enjoyable for all. It also has become part of my daily exercise routine, along with Wii Fit and Dance Dance Revolution, as there are several different exercise modes in Outdoor Challenge. I highly recommend this game, and the other two Wii titles I just mentioned to anyone looking to stay in shape and have fun doing it. We live in New England and the weather does not permit time outside for MONTHS at a time. This game is one good way to avoid the extra winter pounds!Lire l'avis complet...

Active Life: Outdoor Challenge (must have)

This is a great game fun for all ages. I have a 3 year old nephew that loves and can understand the game. Now he can play the Wii! Whenever my wife and I's friends get together we grab this game and we are all around 35. Active life makes another game to go with the pad so it opens more use for the pad. Unlike the balance board you run on, jump on, and hit the pad which is great for the younger kids and us forgetful adults. There are only 2 problems with it. 1 the pad likes to move around the floor and it is attached to the Wii so you need to adjust it often. 2 with the Super Mario Brothers download you need to disconnect the pad or the controller doesn't work (It ay do it with others as well but I am not sure). All and all not major problems that should discourage somebody from getting this game. Some people have complained about the avatars reaction after losing when the avatar lays down crying and kicking. I highly recomend this game you get a bigger work out on it then the balance board HANDS DOWN!!!Lire l'avis complet...

Really Great for Getting Active

I've been trying desperately to get my kids to be more active. It's been a particularly hot summer, though, and my oldest HATES to be hot, and whatever he does, his little brother does his best to emulate. Alas, I found myself in search of active, indoor pursuits that wouldn't involve sitting, trance-like, in front of an electronic device. Enter this game. My sons took it out of the box, and had it up and running, by themselves, in minutes. Now I can't tear them away from it. They are running in place, jumping, leaning side-to-side, and most of all, having fun. I'm really not a gamer, so I can't comment on the gaming side of things, but I can report that my 9 and 6 year old sons are having a blast with this. They even had some friends over to play, and the whole group of them really got into it. One girl even thought she'd be sly and text her mom to come pick her up two hours later than we'd agreed upon. That's how much fun she was having! I think it's great, and am really glad to see my guys up off of the couch, playing together and having big fun!Lire l'avis complet...

Wii Outdoor Challenge game

With so many kids playing video games and not outside playing, this is the game to get. My grandson 6 played it and you can also play team players where not playing against each other but on the mat together helping each other, example when one of the games you have to raise right leg to lean you both have to, there are so many variables to this game it wore him out and me as well. Great game for all ages for one or more, I actually had to make him take a break, he ran, jumped, sat, leaned, race a couple hours and he was sweating I had to make hime stop for a while. Holds there attention, would recommend all to buy this Wii game. I bought it because I had seen great reviews as well as for all ages.Lire l'avis complet...

EXCELLENT Seller

This mat is EXACTLY what I needed, since I was given a game without one. My 6 1/2 year old grandson was able to figure out how to play game without much input from me. Great game to burn off excess energy on rainy days!Lire l'avis complet...

Wonderful active game

Kids and adults alike will enjoy laughing and being active together around a TV of virtual race/challenge environments. My favorite is the mine cart races. My family played for 3 hours at a time on Christmas. The learning curve is easy and it's instant fun to be had. Many different challenges that are fun and train you in body eye coordination. It's a great work out without it feeling like work at all; more like hard play. I have had this game for over one year and it is always a hit at parties. Now my nephews and niece get to enjoy it. Highly recommend!Lire l'avis complet...

WOW what fun!!

This game really gets your heart going. I bought this game for to break up my daily routine, and it has definately served its purpose. I really like the two player mode. It is wonderful for the kids, they get to see how well they do with team work, as well as against each other. It is very basic and user friendly. It has many challenging modes, as well as a "free" play mode. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that the mat moves around too much. I guess it could be me though. I just really get into the games. I would definately recomend this game if you want to move around. If you don't want to move, then this game is not for you.Lire l'avis complet...

GREAT WORKOUT!!

My sister bought this for my 4 children....ages 5-12 for Christmas. They really have a blast and it's quite a workout. I just got on it myself and boy was I tuckered out after about 20 minutes of play. You can play a bunch of different games. It reminds me of the old nintendo mats that I had when I was younger. You can run, jump and play all kinds of games. We absolutely LOVE it!! You are working out and you don't even know it (OK, maybe you do if you are older...like me). The wii fit is very hard to find right now, so this is a nice less expensive alternative to workout while playing.Lire l'avis complet...

This is a great challenge in motion!!

I love the variety of games and the fact that you can work as a team or compete against each other or just play by yourself! There are lots of different movements that will get your heart rate up before you know it in the name of fun and work you out. It is great fun and a challenge at the same time!! I bought it because it was part of the active lifestyle series! Enjoy!Lire l'avis complet...
