Above the Law

Good action flick that's entertaining with a fun performance from Steven Seagal. The main villain is very menacing and there is some great action scenes. Now this isn't anything spectacular but it does entertain you while your watching it. The direction by Andrew Davis is pretty good it has a pretty good pace and had some pretty cool shots as well. The opening is way cool and the story is pretty interesting but the clichés are there but who cares, it's an action film. Put your brain in check and you will enjoy yourself. There is a bit of blood and violence we get lots of harsh bloody beatings, bloody gunshot wounds, and some people get cut up very badly. The acting is fine. Steven Segal is great here he is a VERY good action star and was just plain fun to watch. Sharon Stone is also in this movie, but wasn't a well known actress at this time when she was on screen she did fine. and had decent chemistry with Segal. Pam Grier is great here and plus she had good chemistry with Segal Henry Silva is great and menacing as the main villain overall well worth the watch!Lire l'avis complet...

it's a fun action/martial arts/ thriller movie to watch !

I am a huge Steven Seagal fan and Above The Law is a classic and a must have for all steven seagal fans.This is a good 90's action film about A Chicago cop who gets suspicious when asked to hand in his badge, and soon discovers a ring of ex-CIA operatives trafficking drugs and a plot to assassinate a politician.

I like this movie because Seagals character like in many of his movies is one man in search for the truth and will stop at nothing to find out whats going on.The negative thing i have to say about it is that since it's a very early 90's action film some of the action gun fights are a little bit cheesey and the main villain in my opinion is not a very good actor. There some good hand to hand martial arts fight scene in it but not as much as in his other films.

Above The Law is a 4 out of 5 star movie in my opinion and theres some humor in it that adds some injoyment to the film.Lire l'avis complet...

Certainly entertaining(not bad for Seagal's debut film).Story was fair(loved the soundtrack),plenty of action.Good shoot- out at the finale.Saw this back in 1988(and am still enjoying the pleasure of watching it.Great viewing.Rcommended.Lire l'avis complet...

A bit preachy but decent martial arts action

A bit preachy but pretty good action and gives backstory on Mr Segal. All in all worth watching.
