Good refurbish that works fine

This router is great. The router came in pristine condition. As good as it is, it still doesn't beat my old N66U router that has way better range on the 2.4ghz band but it's time to move on to ac.

Strong Networking support

I love the ASUS AiMesh. It allows me to have routers throughout my building allowing seamless networking while walking around the premises. It's amazingly easy to set up and maintain.

Easy set-up, solid performance

It was time to retire my old and, frankly, beloved router. In spite of flashing the old one with DD-WRT and with Tomato, it kept dropping connections ever since I switched from WEP to WPA2. The Asus came highly recommended by people whose opinion I trust, and it has worked flawlessly now for a month. I thought I might miss the Tomato interface, but the Asus GUI is actually quite nice and fairly intuitive. The range is improved over my old router, too, with much stronger signal strength from its upstairs location to the multiple downstairs laptops and phones which had struggled a bit with the old router. The increased range may be a downside to you, depending on your situation, but for me it has been a great help.

So far, I haven't got a single negative thing to say about the Asus.

works great

works great for what I needed. I live on a road that has no internet. (cable, phone) the only way to get internet is through cell towers. asus has a line of routers that you can tether a cell phone through to get internet service. works great for me.Lire l'avis complet...

Not having that problem anymore and get good signal in the yard.

I got this because of ratings on Cnet to replace my Airport since I am streaming TV all over the house. Kept losing the internet on my ROKU devices over WiFi.

AiMesh router

I'm using it with an RT-AC3100 router to create an AiMesh system so my whole house has continuous connectivity without any dead spots or having to have 2 networks.
It works seemlessly.

T-mobile router

This T-Mobile-branded router is indeed identical hardware to the ASUS RT-AC68U. I like this router because it has great performance at a reasonable price and is supported by open source firmware like Advanced Tomato, Merlin's AsusWRT, and DD-WRT. However, newer versions of the router contain a custom "T-mobile" version of ASUS firmware that is difficult to update. It can be done with utilities and firmware that are available online, but is not for the inexperienced. Plan to take a couple hours to install your firmware of choice it even if you know what you're doing. If you don't intend to install third-party firmware, this router will work fine with the stock firmware out of the box.Lire l'avis complet...

Great As An Extender

Was looking to extend the range of my (other) ASUS AC1900 and tried adding another non-ASUS router and an extender but neither allowed seamless switching between routers. The trick was another ASUS router capable of AIMesh. Works great!Lire l'avis complet...

Good inexpensive router with T Mobile software but works fine.

Wider range than my 5 yr old router and more throughput. Went from 30mbps to 45-50. No dropping signal even with many devices connected.
