Review of nice tablet

My tf700 was purhased without a keyboard and case. The keyboard has the usb outlet. So i was wondering what to do with a tablet without a usb outlet! I found a seller that sells adapters from a 40 pin outlet on the tablet to a usb outlet! That resolved my problem. I can now use a keyboard or a mouse with my tablet which is essential for me. The rest of this tablet is great. The screen resolution is super. The touchscreen is fast, accurate and reliable. There is over 20 gb of space to download Apps! The HDMI port is a micro hdmi which was a surprise. I thought there was only regular and mini hdmi sizes! There is a micro sd slot for additional storage-cool. Love Android apps! Good battery. Very happy besides the lack of usb and micro hdmi that i was able to work around.Lire l'avis complet...

The screen is beautiful and Asus is quiet reliable in giving you updates.

This is by far the best 10 inch android tablet on the market.
If your familiar with Android, you'll love it.
If your not then you might want play with it in store before you make a purchase, especially if your not really a techy person.
The screen is amazing (better than the iPad's "retina display".
The camera are so-so (but its a tablet, sooo.....)
The design/build quality is very good.

If you dont like iOS (for reason I'm not going to go into), then this tablet is FREAKY awesome; and once it gets it's Jelly Bean (4.1) update in the next few months (as confirmed by Asus) this tablet will be mind blowingly awesome.

Pros: Screen + Android + Everything else
Cons: The occasional lag (should be fixed when JB comes out) + lack of accessories for it (like cases, etc)

Decent - obvious wear and tear

This arrived today, and as excited as I was, that quickly diminished. There were scratches on the back, some pretty deep and very obvious. The power button was slightly jutted out and you could tell it wasn't supposed to be that way. Half of it is flush with the tablet, the other half is slightly popped out. And something is wrong with the either the charging cord or the charging port as it doesn't charge. Very frustrating. The screen seems fine and its a little slow, and took a really long time to locate our wifi. And still never found it - I just clicked a random one that said "undercovervan" and put in my password and somehow that worked. Have no idea how and haven't come close to figuring it out as I haven't recently changed our wifi name. As something refurbished by a third party, I suppose its as expected... but I was just hoping it was in better condition. It was packaged in a box with just a plastic piece holding the tablet to the box.. not bubble wrap or anything. Hoping its just the cord that isn't working, but we are taking it to best buy this weekend to find out.Lire l'avis complet...

Asus transformer 700t

I bought this tablet in really good condition off eBay. I love the tablet over all but the plug for the charger comes out really easy and I don't know if that's because it's used or what. But it makes it difficult to use it while it charges. Also the performance isn't quit as fast as I'd expected. But it's very well made and has excellent resolution and response to touch.Lire l'avis complet...

Awsome tablet for a great value.

I bought this product to use during medical school rotations. I am not a fan of apple and like the open source features of android. I have been using android products for a while now and very used to it. I like this tablet for its resolution and battery life. I have the keyboard dock that extends the battery for another 4.5hrs giving me a total of 14hrs on battery. The resolution is 1920x1200 so super HD. The keyboard also has a usb drive and sd card reader making file sharing easy. The keyboard also makes it feel like a laptop and typing super easy and not have to use the keyboard on the screen. Charging the tablet is fast and its currently runnig Jelly bean 4.1.1. What I like everything, what I dislike would be that my local stores always have this product out of stock.
I have yet to compare this to any other tablets but currently faster than my laptop.

A powerful device with an excellent screen and brightness.

I have never been interested in ASUS devices. I don't fancy their laptops, nor computer components like the motherboards. However, I chose to purchase the Infinity after comparing it to the Samsung Note 10.1". It boiled down to choosing between two different aspects: the Note has the S-Pen and the Infinity has the higher resolution. Originally I thought the S-Pen was going to be very handy and that I could forgo the unusually common low resolution. I had been using my partner's iPad and once I compared the S-Note in store, to my surprise, I found the resolution did affect my decision - I was after something to read my textbooks on, whole pages at a time with diagrams and so the improved resolution won in the end, leading me to invest in the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity.

This is my first tablet and I didn't expect to start watching video on this device, but the quality is excellent. The screen is very bright in IPS+ mode, although automatic brightness tends to keep the screen at quite a low setting so I often toggle between auto and manual full brightness.

ASUS are prompt with their updates and in fact, it is running Jelly Bean now. This is in contrary to my stock Samsung Galaxy S2, so kudos goes to them for keeping a decent pace so far. I haven't yet been inspired to root the tablet, although I did replace the launcher with Apex Launcher. I have no idea whether the ASUS stock launcher is good or not, but the convenience of having all my existing apps available, along with the familiarity of the launcher predisposed me to installing it right away.

A work colleague has the Transformer Prime, along with all the radio issues that came along with it. I am pleased to say that the Infinity has none of those problems, although it is a shame the Wi-fi is only 2.4Ghz and not dual-band.

One handy feature is the ASUS App Locker. It's not going to stand up against a committed infiltrator but it allows me to turn it on, pass it to someone else without having to worry about them accessing Facebook, e-mail, and the other programs I have configured.

I haven't thoroughly tested battery life - I also tend to charge it nightly and have it configured to disable wireless when in standby and on battery.

The build quality is good, although the aluminium spun design on the back makes me quite precious when I place it down on a less than clean surface or a surface such as a glass table. I feel like it may scrape either the device or the surface so for the most part, I put it on top of a neoprene sleeve or writing pad. The only other concern I have is the front has a little bit of downward give between the glass and edge of the device. This is also apparent on a colleague's Transformer Prime, so it doesn't appear unique to my device.

The proprietary connector and power brick is inconvenient. I had become accustomed to charging and powering my devices from USB whereas the Transformers use the connector. Because of the proprietary nature, I purchased another adaptor for travel as well as providing a spare USB cable in the event one fails or is lost.

Was easy to learn, And easy to access the web using this device.

I was pleased that this tablet was fairly easy to use. The apps east to down load . Nice and light to carry around with me. My niece and nephews find it easy to use when playing games.
I do have to admit at first I was a little intimidated using a tablet, But was comfortable after a hour of use. I would recommend getting one of these to read emails and using the web to do shopping getting updated on news and other simple activities you do on a PC.Lire l'avis complet...

I can't really complain just a few flaws besides that a very great tablet

The tablet is good in size color and all around experience a perfect candidate rival for the iPad. I wish that the tablet had more accessory and that the tablet HDMI was all in 1 at the bottom like the Samsung Galaxy Note or tab. Asus customer Care prep lack of knowledge of the tablet I called several times and wasn't able to get any type of help. They kept referring me to different other sites or third party company.Lire l'avis complet...

A virtually inexhaustible treasure if you use it that way.

Fantastic item in every possible way. So far I only use it for kindke and "my books" and a bit of picture taking, but even with those this tablet is among my most important and cherished physical possessions, because the tablet's design and quality (including super high resolution screen, perhaps the most important feature) make these apps a joy to use. I use "my books" for music scores from imslp, which offers free downloads of public domain scores, which essentially means by buying this tablet you can have the entire Dover catalogue for virtually the entire canon of Western classical music through around 1930 or so at your fingertips in a form usable at a piano or music stand, all for free. That makes this tablet a priceless treasure for musicians. What makes this true though in a way that wouldn't apply for most other tablets is the screen RESOLUTION, which is necessary for the music scores to be nice and sharp. Apple iPads I'm sure are comparably excellent with their retina screens, and other high priced tablets will have comparable or even better screens. All I can say is this more than succeeds for this purpose, making it a treasure to me. When I think about what artists and scholars of previous generations could have accomplished with such a tool, a portable library of inexhaustible cultural and intellectual treasure, it makes one sad. Yet that we can have such a tool now is so much to be greatful for, hoping we can rise to the challenge of fulfilling its possibilities.Lire l'avis complet...

A future-proof high performer with a beautiful screen!

The Transformer Infinity is a great tablet. Don't fret that its been on the market a little longer than many of the current best-sellers; it still rocks! The screen is fantastic (when you can actually find content worthy of it); whilst the new ipad and nexus 10 both have slightly higher resolutions, trust me you won't need it.
With Jelly Bean now rolled out on the tf700, it runs very smooth, and does exactly what it should! On that note, being that its android, "what it should" varies from person to person. I've been playing graphic intensive games, editing documents, watching tv shows and movies (both streaming on netflix and downloaded) and fidling around like anyone does when they get something new! It all works really well and I would highly recommend it. I cannot however, comment on the keyboard dock as I haven't purchased it.. yet!!
Without the keyboard you are of course going to be using the on screen keyboard, and one of the advantages of having the more media suitable aspect ratio is that it's not much of a stretch to type at a very decent speed when in portrait.

One small point I should mention: the back looks really good and I love the texture and way it reflects the light. It does however seem to collect fingerprints, which I should imagine happens on plenty of tablets, but there we go.. Not that I spend much time looking at the back of it!

Overall, its a seriosly good product, and thanks to its very respectable hardware specs and spectacular screen it won't be lagging behind while other tablet lines start rolling out their next generations.
