It's worth the price for its abilities and features. It is easy enough to use. The user interface is fairly straightforward. The cable it comes with thankfully is not proprietary. Great product!!!
I bought this for my 2006 750i BMW. My transmission was stuck in limp mode after I made the necessary repairs. I tried unhooking the battery for a day to see if it would help with no success. I bought the tool and went into the transmission codes and cleared them. Once cleared my transmission works like a new one. I would highly recommend this tool for the DIYer.

Sweet Nothings - no airbag light
This scanner paid for itself the first time I hooked it up, turning off the airbag light that was activated by an upholstery shop when they unplugged seat connections without disconnecting the battery. I was also able to clear several other codes in the system for issues that had beeb corrected. It cost my friend $160 to have his airbag light cleared at a local shop recently (a connector was unplugged, cleaned, and reconnected to correct the problem.) Great product. Reads the code and even tells you what the code is. Clears the codes too. Very easy to use. Gives you assurance before you go to mechanic. Excellent price.

launch 3001 code reader
I need your help on startup of 3001 reader. Everything comes on and seems fine. after scanning is done or boot up is done I press o.k. and the screen reads check coonnection and ignition is on. yes, all are fine as far as i knoww. all other features seem o.k. it will not show read code, erase code etc. i have really checked the connection and the ignition is on but that is it. i am not sure what to do. can you help. thankyou very much joe lincolnLire l'avis complet...

More than I expected.
I’ve seen these inexpensive scan tools before and thought that was what I was buying. I was surprised that it’s this nice. A lot of cheap one do not erase codes, they only show you what it is.
