got this because it was AM3 processor with 4000mhz FSB capable to replace an old 4850e. this little baby has over clocked to 3.2 GHZ stable on stock cooling and has been a bargain as well as being only a 45W processor plays my games well and it loaded right up on my AsRock 780GXE/128 motherboard with a simple bios update.just pop out the old one and install the new one was even able to use the same stock thermal grease from the old heat sink fan and with all the abuse I have been giving this little baby by clocking it to 3.2GHZ she still has not broke 40C temp. Great little processor and runs all my games at good rate, fallout 3 and legacy play very well on med high setting but I think with a better GPU I will get much better performance will let you know more later if I get a chance.

Perfect for Windows Home Server 2011
I have a Windows Home Server 2011 computer of which its only purpose is to serve files from the several large hard drives inside of it. The system has been running reliably since 2011 when I first put it together. The system was already used when I did it. The last CPU in it was a Phenom II X4 945 95W and it worked great, but I found a home for it in a computer for a friend of mine.
Anyways, this CPU....
It has way more than enough power for my Windows Home Server, and now instead of idling at 28 watts, it idles at 10 watts undervolted, At stock it was till only 12.
I tested it running a movie using VLC and another using Films and TV from two different computers at the same time, as well as downloading files to it and CPU usage stayed below 50 percent, so no problems there. Yes, I know this has more to do with network usage, but the CPU has to manage it, and it does with no issues.
For the price I paid for this CPU from eBay a couple years ago, it has already paid itself off in the savings on electricity. It also runs extremely cool using a cheap stock AMD fan from 10 years ago.
I can absolutely say without a lie that I can't notice a difference between this 2.7 GHz Dual Core 45 watt CPU and the 3.0 GHz Quad Core 95 watt CPU it replaced.
That being said, please note that this CPU would struggle with everyday use today (September 2021), and I would only recommend it for the type of use I am using it for, or if it was an extremely cheap upgrade from something already in use.Lire l'avis complet...
