SCARPETTA IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!

It's here.....the latest installment of the life of Patricia Cornwell's best character, Kay Scarpetta. Port Mortuary is the 18th novel featuring our beloved Kay and her close associates, Benton, niece Lucy and Marino. The book is hard to put down, and you keep turning the pages to find out more, and yet when you immerse yourself in Kay's world, you want to stay and follow the day to day cases in her life. We enter Scarpetta's world in a very intimate way, the book is told from her point of view. The sights, smells, fears and reactions are all hers, showing an even deeper and darker world of thoughts than I thought existed for her. The book brings her back to her early professional career and the dual purpose she has in serving her country. Scarpetta is in my home state of Massachusetts, with a new Forensic Center, and a man is brought in after dropping dead, but could he have been left to die alone in the Center's cooler by mistake? This is Patricia Cornwell at her best, but with a unique look into a character you only thought you knew....don't miss this latest book.....it will leave you wanting even more from this author.... I want to fill out a job application at the new center, a world so real when seen through Kay's eyes you almost believe you can!Lire l'avis complet...

Port Mortuary

I am a huge fan of all Patricia Cornwell. I love her writing style. This book was not quite as riveting as the last but she will always leave you wanting more.

Not up to par!!!

This book lacks intrigue. If I want to learn technical terms I'll buy a medical dictionary. Too many of her recent books seem like she wants to show her knowledge in every field and is loosing so much in the translation. I'd prefer fewer references to modern technology and more emphasis on the quality of the theme of the story. Her endings are too abrupt now, as if she has a deadline to meet quickly.
I've read every book Cornwell has written but after this book and At Risk and The Front, I doubt I'll be waiting in line to buy her next one.

Cornwell is my favorite author, I have read all the Scarpetta series books. I find her writing to be interesting. I enjoy borrowing books from libraries but sometimes I can find one I am looking for that is a reasonable price.Lire l'avis complet...

Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell

The Book came very qucikly and in a timely manner. The book just seemed alot smaller then what I am use to seeing in thickness. It must have been due to the smaller print type. I could see no flaws anywhere on the book and everything was received well on my end.Lire l'avis complet...

Save Your Money and Your Sanity

If you're a fan of the old Patricia Cornwell, do yourself a favor and don't buy this book! Better yet, go to Amazon.com and look at the reviews there, because they're more accurate. Reading this book is like wading through quicksand. It's boring, and has no soul. I don't know where Cornwell's editor was on this one, but he/she didn't do a good job at all. Save your money and buy a James Patterson or John Sandford book.Lire l'avis complet...
