A Colossal Failure of Common Sense by Lawrence G. McDon
This is a great book to show the details of the inside trading companies and poor upper management gready mentality. I thought implementing SOX was to resolve this problem. I've watched the show about House of Cards, which talks about the problems of the housing bubbles. I knew about several facts that was presented and I verified those facts. With the background information previously researched, this book was an easy read for me. Therefore, what the Federal government is trying to do with Goldman Sachs is not addressing the true problems including fraud. A quick fix is not the solution, but a way to push a power grab for them.Lire l'avis complet...

A Colossal Failure of Common Sense
The Inside Story of the Collapse of Lehman Brothers.
Very well written history of how Lehman collapsed. Lawrence gives his
inside version of how his time got fired from Lehman when they knew
exactly that the company was going down and they try to hedge there
...positions to avoid a total collapse. Loved the book! I recommend it to
anyone that loves finances and the world of Wall Street!Lire l'avis complet...
