Lightweight Shafts from ALDILA: Go Lighter and Longer for more distance

I have a set of Ping G10 irons with factory graphite shafts and since I am getting older (59 next month) I wanted to try going lighter and longer. Before buying the entire set of 8 I purchased one of the new shafts and put it into my 8 iron, but made it the length of my current 6 iron.

I live right next to one of our public courses and I've spent some time determining exactly how far I could hit the original 8 iron (130 yards of carry). After putting in the new shaft, I immediately jumped to 138 yards, and my accuracy has also improved.
