Easy to read but lacks glow intensity

So I bought this as a replacement for my smaller gauge. It is very easy to read and appears to be of good quality. My only complaint is the lack of glowing. After sitting in the sun all day, it hardly glows at all, even in complete darkness. Works good, however dial sweats should be vented to prevent moisture build up. That's why only 4 stars. Otherwise OK.

I have this item and it worked very well, and is very stout. You do have to drill a big hole though.
