12 Gardens Live - Billy Joel

I am a lifelong Billy Joel fan - and therefore, a bit biased. Nonetheless, this two-CD set provides an excellent tour through many of Billy Joel's classic songs dating back to the early 1970's all the way through selections from the more recent 'River of Dreams' album. The CD is based on recordings from multiple (12) recent concerts in Madison Square Garden (hence the title), and interaction with the audience is captured (e.g., on Piano Man - there is a point in which Billy Joel stops singing altogether and you here the entire crowd singing along). The CD contains more than 30 songs.

I would suggest that the vocals at times were a bit strained compared to some of his earlier work (e.g Songs in the Attic, and other live recordings) -- but all in all, I found this CD to be very entertaining and enjoyable.Lire l'avis complet...

Fantastic CD for die hard Billy Joel Fans

Love this CD! I have seen Billy Joel in concert more times than I can remember since I was a teenager in the 80's right up to this past July. Having this CD to listen to is the next best thing to being at one of his concerts. It is fantastic! I never get tired of it.Lire l'avis complet...

I love Live music.I have an older Live recording of Billy Joel and wanted to get a newer version of his Live show. The MSG Cd from 2006 did the trick. I hope there is one from the 2008 Tour. Rock Till You Drop !! . RonLire l'avis complet...

Great Disk

I was at this show and the CD is awesome. It is a great rendition and the quality is wonderful. I deffinitely recommend it to anyone that is as big a Billy Joel fan as I am.
