A great value for the money.
I got a benchtop metal lathe and needed tooling for it. Saw these and decided to take a chance on them. With that low price and so many pieces I figured they wouldn't be of great quality, but would at least work for now. I was pleasantly surprised, in general. First the good: Quality seems good. Carbide seems consistent with no voids. Brazing is clean and the sharpening is actually well done, with proper angles, crisp cutting edges, and good finish on the ground faces. The selection of cutting profiles is good, though there was a glitch here. The particular set I got had four AL4-C2 cutters, and was missing the two BR4-C2 cutters it was supposed to have. To me this wasn't a deal breaker since it still had the BR4-C6 cutters if I need that profile. I'm guessing it's a one-off glitch and messaged the seller about it, not asking for any correction of the problem. This is the one reason I didn't give them five stars. They don't fit real well in the tool holder for my lathe, but in measuring the bits and the holder, the holder is smaller than it should be for a 1/4" shank. I did strip the paint off of these cutters to get them a bit smaller, and it was going to flake off from the clamping screws anyway. Broken tips
Was going to cut the taper seat off some spark plugs to make them a flat seat, the first 2 bits I used broke the tips in half, chucked the rest of the bits in the trash, guess the old saying is true, you get what you pay for. Put the old bit back in that I had and continued cutting the 25 plugs. Not looking for anything just saying.Lire l'avis complet...

But they look real nice
Tried to use on soft aluminium and the cutting edge was gone on the first pass.The carbide is very poor quality. Each bit I used chipped on soft material.

Small Carbide Tools That ROCK!
I use this on an old Unimat lathe and the tools that come with the machine are hardened steel, which is not good for cutting stainless steel, for example. Carbide is extremely hard and is excellent for carefully working small steel projects on my lathe. I'm so glad I found these and the price is great! Lire l'avis complet...

Quality is what one would expect from a economical priced carbide tool but. Does it well once sharpened. For the money they are pretty good
