perfect replacement for older Amana refrigerator
my refrigerator has the freezer with a lower slide out drawer, so my water filter is located inside the refrigerator at the top. I thought my filter was leaking when I realized it was the housing itself that must have developed a crack somewhere. took me some time to find the part online as the refrigerator is an older model and I don't have a manual for it. found the parts from luna parts on ebay - part arrived on time and fit perfectly. I'm fairly handy and rely on youtube a lot for do it yourself home repairs. it took me about 20 minutes to remove the old unit and replace with the new one. be sure to unplug your refrigerator and turn off the water as the tubes attach to an energized water valve behind the refrigerator- the water tubes are labeled and one has a blue color band. make sure that blue one goes into the blue quick release and the other uses a reusable screw down collar you will remove from the old tube and reuse. it is a compression style screw on fitting. remember to turn your water back on and plug the unit back in. check for leaks and run some water through before putting your filter back in. run a gallon or more of water through your filter to ensure to leaks. Easy to replace Maytag dryer door latch!
Second time on our Maytag dryer that the door latch broke. These little latch kits are inexpensive and easy to change out. Just glad I know they're available... seems I'm hard on our dryer door.

Perfect OEM Replacement

Works as it should
The latch kit worked as promised. I originally tried to use the old female latch with the new male clip but that did not work. When I replaced both parts it worked as it should.
