Great action camera for outdoor activities
I bought the FDR X1000 to go with the two HDR AS30 cameras I have, because I wanted the 4k video. The cameras work similarly and are great for dirt bike riding. The record well and in their case are very tough. Take it from a guy who crashes a lot, they just keep recording good video.
I'd give them 5 stars if the focus was better in dark areas. Sometimes riding under the tree canopy causes it to blur out of focus.
Other than that, it would be nice if it had any zoom. I wouldn't use it on the motorcycle, but it would come in handy for other events.
It works well with the live viewer remote.
It will record about 10 hours at 720 on a 32 GB memory card and 4 hours at 1080.
It recorded for about an hour on the standard sony battery, which is a big improvement over the HDR AS30.
