Wonderful Movie

I've always loved certain Disney classics, and this is definitely one of the best! It's a fairytale of love and adventure - can't get much better than that! This 2-disc set has one with the movie, one with bonus features. The featured one gives three options of how to watch the movie. You can watch the extended version or the actual theatrical release. Another great Disney movie!

I bought this movie as I am building a Disney DVD collection for my 3-year-old granddaughter. I put it on for her the other day. She was enjoying the movie until the first scene with Beast. When Beast jumped out roaring, my grandbaby ran out of the room screaming!! I had to calm her down by talking about & replaying the beginning of the movie where it explains that the witch had put a curse on the handsome prince for his mean & selfish attitude. I explained what the prince would have to do to have the curse removed. She chose to watch the rest of the movie & enjoyed it, but I've noticed that she now asks/talks incessantly about monsters... :-/ I also noticed that a few musical scenes have been included on this DVD. Personally, I think these scenes should have remained on the cutting room floor. These added songs aren't that great, but the rest of the songs are wonderful! Overall, I loved the original theater/VHS version of the movie so much more. I'm giving this DVD 4 stars b/c I don't recommend this movie for younger, sensitive children. But older, less sensitive kids & adults will love it!Lire l'avis complet...

A very fine movie by every body's standards.

A very good movie. Saw it in the on the big screen, had it on VHS and now have it on DVD. A great story and very good songs too. Good leads and fine cast. A great one for the whole family too.

Beauty and the Beast

This is not a new dvd, it did not contain the Disney movie rewards. Besides that the movie quality is great. The picture is great and the movie does not skip. I was upset at first not getting a new movie but after watching the movie I am very pleased! It is a great price for the quality and I would recommend buying this movie! A little issue with discs

Upon first glance (before opening) everything seems alright, this is NOT the Diamond Edition though. I didn't mind that little miscommunication as much as when I opened the case and the discs were rough and have scratches and the pictures on them appear to be bad copies (not saying they are copies). They're blurred and just look rough. The scratches don't hinder playback. They are a little worrisome to me, but so far have proved no need to worry.Lire l'avis complet...

Beauty and the Beast in a deluxe format.

Color and sound, graphics, animation all professional and crisp. I enjoyed all the characters, especially the candlestick "Lumier" and "Mrs. Potts."

Mostly as Expected

The discs look good and it played well. Giving it 4/5 because in the description it was supposed to be brand new in the wrapper, and though it came sealed up it had been previously opened because there was no papers inside the case or magic code paper for Disney movie rewards. I specifically wanted a new copy for that magic code. But the movie itself plays good and it was very cheap so can't complain much.Lire l'avis complet...

perfect!

Quality of the product was amazing for the price! That doesn't always happen when you pay very little for a DVD,but this time, it was still wrapped in plastic and the disc is in perfect condition.

Misled

I was led to believe this was a legitimate Disney manufactured product. However this is bootleg - a quality one, but bootleg nonetheless. When it is played in my dvd it makes a very loud whining noise. On the other hand, it's a decent quality picture and Disney has not released Beauty and the Beasy to be sold in stores for years so this is really the only option to watch the film as of right now.
