Good investment if you own Tamron's newer lenses

The product is of high quality. The software is easy to understand. Upon my first connection, there was a prompt that the firmware for the tap-in console needs to be updated, which I did. I then checked firmware update availability for my 70-200/2.8 G2 lens, there is a newer version available so I did the update too. That update process took longer than I expected, something like 5 min (rough estimate), but it went smoothly otherwise.

The only relatively minor point is when the tap-in console is attached to the lens, it took a bit long for the lens to be detected and showed up, something like a minute or so, which is a little strange, it should not have taken that long, I was sitting there wondering why my lens did not show up and worried something is wrong, it turned out, the detection was simply slow.Lire l'avis complet...

Amazing Potential

The whole concept of adjusting a lens is revolutionary. I had purchased a Tamron zoom lens (on eBay): hooked it up, and immediately performed a firmware update. Have not performed micro fpcus adjustments yet, but believe that further tweaking will only improve the performance of the lens. A great add on to any Tamron lens.Lire l'avis complet...

easy to use. May make a tamron user out of me again (I used their 90mm 2.5 lens decades ago with film). VERY happy with the 100-400 tamron just recieved
