Good pads but poor fit
The pads themselves are fine, providing you can get them in the caliper housing where they belong. The problem is the steel plates the pads are fixed to are at least .020 too long. I had to grind some metal (a little from both ends) to get them to fit & still had to tap them in place. I had the same problem 1 1/2 yrs ago when I changed the front-"Wagner parts". A close fit is fine, you don't want it loose. I have talked to several other Ford truck owners ( one is a certified mechanic) and they have experienced the same problem. I feel I should not have to pay good money for parts then work on them to make them fit, that is their job. Once I got them to fit properly, they work fine. Fit my Ford F-250 perfectly
The pads are always a little tricky to get in on the Fords but they do fit without any modifications. I liked that the hardware that Wagner supplies is exactly the same as the Ford stock hardware. Just buy the pads and do the work yourself folks!!!! Brakes are soooo easy. The first wheel always takes me about an hour, then the next three take about 15 minutes each tops. Lire l'avis complet
