Classic hack and slash RPG in forgotten Realms
1) Intro.
This is a classical Forgotten Realms adventure RPG - IceWind Dale from Interplay and Black Isle game studios.
Of course, when you hear Forgotten Realms, you think about what edition of Dungeoun and Dragons rules game use?
Answer is 2nd edition.
2) Game.
Game is very good for backgrounds, atmosphere, painting. Game looks awesome even in 2012, if you have not big screen.
Because of course, resolution is 640x480, that far away from perfect. Artists and programmer do their best! Landscapes looks in perfect fantasy style. And story is also very good.
just like was taken from fantasy books. (It is true, that this game is based on IWD fantasy book series)
So, my recomendation to play in IWD on notebooks, or not big screens.
3) Release.
Original release is a jewel case. Yes, thars poor. No big box.
But you can find this game on somekind compilations and boxsets.
IceWind Dale is 2cd game. First compact disk for install, and second one to play.
Also, let you know, that expansion set Heart Of Winter give you ability to set a resolution higher then 640x480.
This expansion, in original release, consist of 1 cd.
4) Final Note.
Will i buy it again? Yes, becaus of it is strong and beutiful Hack And Slash RPG, which starts in EastHeaven city,
and you will protect icewind dale from clouds of evil! It is fantasy classic game!
Strong points:
1) Great story! Beautiful landscapes and other paintings.
2) hack and Slash style of game.
Weak points:
1) low resolution, it is 640x480. So, use, small screens or notebooks, or something like this in order to
avoid this point.
2) There is no big box for original release of Icewind Dale. It is only jewel style release.
But you can look for re-releases, some Icewind Dale: The Collection , or Icewind Dale: Complete,
and this ways sets.

I love role playing games. In all the ones i have played on the pc i could join with a character in the game but you couldn't change the player this one you can pick an chose what type of character you want in your party (i kind of like that option and I kind of don't) mixed feelings about this option but overall its a great game!Lire l'avis complet...
