PS3 MLB The Show 09
To start off the game has great graphics as most PS3 games have. Online play is a bit tricky and slow especially during the day with a slow DSL connection. But thats partly due to Playstation's free network. Regular season mode can be a bit frustrating as it involves managing the franchise. Keeping up with advertising, stadium, fans, concession stands, etc is truly too much for someone just looking to play. There is no home-run derby or any other sort of head to head skill challenges. MLB '09: The Show
I've always been a fan of baseball games and this title certainly does not disappoint. It does have some rather long load times, but other than that the game is incredible.
With several different modes to go through, the replay value cannot be beat. The graphics are very life-like, and the controls are fairly easy to master.

Great game
So far Ive only played the road to the show, and its very enjoyable. The commentators never get old unlike some other games (Madden) where you want to rip your hair off and tell them to be quiet. The action is also very realistic and a lot of fun. The only issue I saw is that sometimes on Road to the Show it seems that if you have a, this hitter will struggle to hit .250, the A.I. seems to get really tough to ensure you remain close to that .250. I might be delusional but after hitting .340 my player went cold turkey and couldnt get a hit no matter where I hit it. So much fun!
This game is so much fun to play. The Show gets more realistic every year and 09 took some big jumps from 08. The Road to the Show is so much better and faster to go through and play nearly a month of baseball in an hour or two. I would definitely suggest this game to anyone who loves sports. I think this game got me back into the sport of baseball. I will continue to buy this game as it continues to get better in the coming years.Lire l'avis complet...

I never played the MLB the show series on PS3, only on the PSP. I got to say that the graphics on the game are unbelievable!! Especially on the PS3. You can play online with other players around the world with the sport connection. Build your own player and get drafted and work your way up to The Show. This game has great graphics, stadiums look very authentic. Players and players' stance are some what authentic but some are really off. Game play is a 7 out of 10 fielders are way too perfect and balls and strikes are way too similar, very hard to tell one from the other. Amazing Game
Not only is the gameplay fun, but the overall game was developed very nicely. A game in MLB 09 The Show starts with a thorough pregame show, and ends with post-game highlights & a player of the game award.
The game takes into account a lot of real-life things too, like ejections, mascots, & beach balls on the field.
It's really hard to describe how good the gameplay is, it's just that good, and I can actually play a whole franchise without being bored because I would usually sim half the season.
Online has Leagues, Roster Vaults where you can download the accurate rosters of others, and a Draft where you can build your own fantasy team.

MLB 2009 LifeLike Baseball!!!!!!!
MLB 2009 is a fantastic and very realistic baseball game. The controls are easy to use and the graphics are lifelike. Another good point is that the game can be updated on line, a bonus feature!

I really like all the MLB the show games, This game is especially good because it gives you more control over the players and the graphics are especially good. Most Realistic 'Sports' Game on the Market
I have not owned a Baseball game in quite sometime but after reading the reviews I decided to pick this one up. Simply Fantastic! Even if you are not a big baseball game fan you will enjoy this. The realism and ambience of the game are second to none including all Madden Games, NBA 2K Games, NHL Games and Tiger Woods Golf which creates a very realistic environment by its own right. The animations are seemingly endless and the commentary is spot on. Don't waste the money renting.
