I have two short-haired cats (1 American domestic short hair & 1 Siamese) and it works really well on my American domestic but not as well on my Siamese probably because my Siamese’s hair is a bit coarser. However, I bought this more for the massaging aspect versus brushing. It’s a perfect combination with a slicker brush to get rid of all the loose hair from currying them. Zoom Groom Cat Groomer
Works great! Removed a lot of my cats shedded hair. I can't say it removed all because I would be lying. I believe it is just a case of multiple constant brushes and most likely all of her shedded hair will eventually be removed. Especially because I have had her for 4 years and she has never really received a great brushing like she just did with the Zoom Groom. I have two cats who refuse to be brushed. This product solves that! They both immediately took too it and it picks up their hair so well! One has long silky hair and the other short course hair. Within minutes they were both rubbing on me like crazy asking for more. The king zoomgroom grips the hair and keeps it together for a kitty massage and hair magnet. It's awesome! Kong Zoomgroom is the best!
I used it on my Nova, which is a Rag Doll. Very long hair. Sheds like crazy and very hard to keep from getting matted.
This brush moved through his hair, with extreme ease. Removed all the loose hair, which lifted from the brush, just like they advertise.

My cat and I love this brush more than words
This is a wonderful grooming tool. My cat was rescued from the streets in terrible condition, and I'm not sure if he ever had a home before. He's made great strides but is still a bit of a reactor with swatting and aggressiveness. However, the SECOND I bring the ZoomGroom to him, he settles down; he puts his chin down flat and lets me brush him. He starts purring instantly. I had this brush for my previous two kitties and they loved it. It does an amazing job of pulling out loads of hair--teamed with a regular wire grooming brush that collects the rest of the fluff and shedding coat, it's a must-have. Doesn’t remove any hair
I guess this is fine if you just want to brush your cat gently or something, but as far as removing any hair, it doesn’t do that. At all. And, obviously this is subjective because cats are weird, but my cat didn’t like it when I did try to just gently brush him with it.
